Easy and stress free
I submitted my claim at my vets office. Brought in the claim form and they sent in the claim. This is the second claim I submitted. This is my first time having pet insurance. So far it's been easy and stress free to submit a claim.

Not as great as I thought
Customer Service continuously gets worse with each call, surely not as nice as the sales team!! Claims take a long time! Disputes take a long time! They put a preexisting condition on my dog which is now excluded. It was something that was never diagnosed. Still waiting for the response for that dispute. I tried to upgrade my 1 year old dog’s plan, but they said I have to wait until September (by then the dog will be older and it will cost more)! Not sure it is all worth it....unless and they love to tell you unless, your dog suddenly needs surgery or has an emergency! Will look into other companies as my vet has recommended

Nothing but trouble
This company offers nothing but lies. They say they pay the vet directly but they don’t tell you that it takes a while and vets won’t do the procedure/surgery without payment right then. It is very decievimg. I tried to call them to quit but they try everything they can to make you not quit. Do not call of you just want to quit quickly. You will need to talk to them tell them so much information while they try to downplay any other company. If you try to tell them firmly that you just want to quit they will try to belittle you and even call you names. Unbelievable. I have never ever dealt with a company so trying to control you. This is a subpar company keep looking.

Great Service
Great customer service! Very easy to make claims, but just wish claims were turned around quicker. It usually takes approximately 4 weeks to get refunded. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever!

Wouldn’t Be Without It
This is the second dog we have insured with Nationwide. Filing a claim couldn’t be simpler as I just fax it in from home. I get an e-mail verification that the claim was received, and another e-mail when it had been processed.
