Nationwide Pet Insurance is awesome!!!

Best thing I have done is to get Nationwide Pet insurance for my furry baby. Had other coverage with different carrier had bad experience but Nationwide is awesome!

So easy to file and before i knew it the reimbursement was in my hands!

My first time filing a claim, did it all online and by fax. So super easy for a nontechnical dog mom like me. Before I knew it I had an email outling the results and then a check was in my mailbox!!

Calm and Comforting: There for me in my time of need

I cannot overstate how glad I am that I have Nationwide pet insurance. The short story is that without their coverage, I would be thousands of dollars in debt. I have never been so relieved than when I called Nationwide and found that my policy covered the treatment needed to get my cat healthy again. Not only was filing the claim straightforward, but the claim was filed, received, answered, and completed far faster than I expected. I am truly grateful to have Nationwide Pet Insurance.

Eases the mind

I've had Pets Best insurance since my Maltese poodle was a puppy. She's my first pet ever and I sort of learned along the way what actually goes into being a pet parent. She was so active as a puppy I was scared she would eventually break a leg or something so I got insurance right away. I have never had to file a claim in 8 years, luckily, but last year so started having skin problems and within a week of taking her to the vet, she was diagnosed with Cushing's Disease. I was so distraught over all the testing and how quickly everything was progressing, I didn't have the energy to read my pet policy so I went ahead and sent in my invoice anyway. Not only did my insurance cover everything, but the response was a quick turn around and they even explained everything on my claim. I could cry solely based on the ease of mind knowing that this life long Disease will be covered. She has to be medicated for the rest of her life and I'm so thankful I never canceled her insurance even after not using it for 8 years. Thank you thank you thank you!

First claim

This was the first claim for our new puppy and it went great. I wish that the coverage was easier to understand, and why certain things aren't paid, or why they aren't paid as much. Otherwise love the service

Healthy Paws has been wonderful!

Healthy Paws has been wonderful! There is always someone there to help and explain things I have questions about and claims are paid so fast! I recommend Healthy Paws to all my fellow pet lover/owners. Layla is recovering nicely. Keeping her quiet and limiting her activity has been the biggest challenge. In her head, she feels good and wants to run and jump -- etc. Unfortunately, we are supposed to limit her activity.

Horrible

I took my dog to two veterinary a year ago because there was something wrong with her. She wasn’t eating for almost a week and she seemed sluggish. The first vet said nothing was wrong with her and I end up paying $115 for the visit. The next day she collapsed when I went to walk her which scared the hell out of me. I took her to the ER and they said her had Lyme disease which she never showed any signs of until she collapsed. I had all the paperwork both vets provided me and I submitted the claim and faxed it thinking it would be faster. Nationwide said they needed more information? My dog just reached a year but the people I received her from never took her to get her shots or anything so she had no previous hospital records. After three months going back and fourth with nationwide they still wanted previous hospital records? I wrote an email explaining the situation and they said they’ll expedite the email for review. I get a letter with nationwide stating that they couldn’t get in contact with the ER and that they’re sorry for the inconvenience. It’s been a year and I still haven’t gotten reimbursed for the visits. I’m about to cancel Nationwide. They’re a horrible company when it comes to pet insurance and I do not recommend them to anyone who is looking to provide the best care for their pet.
