A company that lives up to its promise

I adopted a 10 year old Boxer from a local shelter/rescue. A 30 day free subscription to Trupanion was part of the take home package. Four days after adoption my dog, Nick, was indicating pain in his eye by constant blinking and trying to rub his eye against my leg. I took him to an emergency vet, who was also an eye specialist. It seems Nick had something called an indolent corneal abrasion which is common in Boxers. She performed a procedure on his eye which included a dremel type tool and he was put on several medications. His course of treatment required a second course of meds. I'm happy to say his eye looks terrific. I submitted my invoices to Trupanion and they reimbursed me according to their plan. The emails I received had a personal touch, where Nick was mentioned by name. I didn't sign up for the insurance after the 30 day trial because Nick is 10 years old and the premium was a little too expensive for us. I highly recommend this company if you have a younger dog.

The best decision we’ve ever made!

We are so greatful and lucky to have chosen Healthy Paws for Baloo. We honestly thought that it was just a perk, that having pet insurance wasn’t necessary but after going through a surgery and exams, we are so so happy we did! They have been great through the process, the app is super easy to use and the claims go through in no time, it has been such a relief known that our furry friend is getting the best treatment and it’s all thanks to Healthy Paws. They are truly caring and want to be there for you. I recommend them to all of my friends that have a pet!

Thank you, Nationwide, for all of your assistance and support!

I've had Nationwide insurance for Jeffrey, the dog, ever since he joined the family six, almost seven years ago, and I've always been impressed with the representatives' professionalism and speed in processing claims. Jeffrey just had surgery for a torn ACL and meniscus. I called Nationwide a couple of times about coverage, reimbursements, etc. To a one, every Nationwide representative with whom I spoke was kind, helpful, and generous with their time. It's been a stressful time, it's very scary to see my little one in pain, but the Nationwide staff really came through for me and I am very grateful. Thank you.

Good experience!

I was transferred from PC Pet Insurance to Pets Plus Us. It was seamless. I've made several claims since the changeover (some large claims) and they are managed efficiently and accurately. My vet submits the claims, I receive notice via email the next couple of days and I receive payment within a week or so via direct deposit. When I've emailed Pets Plus Us directly, I have my answer within a couple of days which works for me. No problems here!

Healthy Paws is by far the superior pet insurance company

Healthy Paws was great for my dog's 2 major leg surgeries in 2 months. Their customer service was amazing and they were able to send a direct payment for both surgeries directly to my surgeon. I will be putting my puppy on my current plan along with my older dog after seeing how great they are with their patients!

We are very happy with our pet insurance.

We have maintained pet insurance on our dogs for many years. We had VIP which was changed to Nationwide and were wondering how the change would effect our coverage but we have not seen any difference. We have been pleased with the response when we have submitted claims.
