Very Unsatisfied and Not Afraid to Share why
My last claim was not approved for no reason. My dog had a respiratory infection and need follow-up for an injury causing possible IVDD. Instead, doctor "records" were requested. I've submit everything I have within the time frame requested, so I don't actually understand why you want from me. I also spoke to someone who made me pay almost $300 because they hadn't received payments from my employer, but I have stubs showing everything deducted from my checks. Also, my fee was $27.39/check and my last two pay stubs show $46.83 being deducted. Everything about this feels like a scam and the only reason I still have it is because I have open claims.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making Ziggy's diagnosis and treatments more 'live-able'. Knowing that Trupanion is there for me and him during this time (and subsequently for the rest of his life) is appreciated so much, it's hard to find the right words. The customer service and claims processing is fast, efficient and compassionate and I couldn't wish for anything more.

Having Hartville helped me make the best medical decisions for my pet, without having to stress about finances.
I registered for Hartville right as we got our new puppy - and it was the best decision I've made as a pet owner. Our pup had the unfortunate luck of having an entropian eyelid - which required several vet visits, medication and surgery. Because we had purchased a policy early in ownding him, all of these were covered - which was a huge relief. We've found the plan to be really comprehensive - from our puppies eye surgery, to puppy-related accidents like upset stomach, dog bites from rough play, and hurt paws. Vet care for typical accidents is still very expensive, so we were so relieved we could rely on Hartville. Filing claims were really easy as well, and I was always reimbursed within 2 - 3 weeks.

Healthy Paws is like family to us
I tell everyone I know that Healthy Paws is more than just an insurance company, they are like extended family. The monthly premiums are affordable, and even if you go years without ever needing to file a claim, all it takes is one accident or illness at some point in your pet's life and the policy will more than pay for itself. I just recently had a health scare with one of my cats. She needed x-rays, an ultrasound, overnight care at the emergency vet, bloodwork, and medications. All of this to the tune of over $2,000, and other than the fee for the office visit, I was reimbursed 90% of the bill, within a matter of days, direct deposited to my account. Not only that, but a couple weeks afterwards, Healthy Paws reached out to check on her and extend their warm wishes. When two of my beloved cats passed away, I got cards signed by everyone in their office and a little packet of ForgetMeNot seeds to plant in their honor. I can't say enough great things about this company. I gush over them so much that sometimes I feel like I'm giving off the impression I'm some corporate shill, but I promise you, I'm not. Healthy Paws is there for us when we need them. Their easy claims process and no BS reimbursement makes it easy to seek care for my pets, even when I know it's going to be a very large expense. Every pet owner should have pet insurance. I'll be a Healthy Paws customer as long as they'll have me.

Simply Fantastic.
Nationwide Pet Insurance is a must if you're a fur parent who enjoys the peace of mind that your family is covered in the event of injury or illness. There have been a few scares with the most recent rescue dog, Max, from eating rocks that required surgery to a granuloma that resulted in the amputation of one toe. Throughout each visit to the vet I feel comforted to know that Nationwide Pet Insurance is there to assist with unexpected costs. Additionally, the process to submit claims through the mobile app is another wonderful service available to ensure a timely claim review.

It was such a relief knowing that I had insurance with my baby was sick. I didn't have to worry about where the money would come from. It is easy to complete the forms and send in. It is usually a quick turn around time. I love the new direct deposit feature.

Long delays
It took three months to get our dog's claims paid, though the services were clearly covered. When we called to find out why this was the case, the customer service was not helpful at all. One employee even hung up on me when I was very politely asking how many times the claim could be delayed and what the reason for the delay was. We ended up having to make a complaint to the state insurance commissioner before the claim was paid.
