Too slow
They are just too slow in processing everything. Faxes from Vets continuously were not found despite the confirmation provided to my vet. When you send they a claim, it's never "received" till at least a day later. When I questioned the fax issue, I was told they have a wonky fax machine and this is a common complaint. So fix it! When I sent in a certification request for an ultrasound, it took many days to get reviewed, these things are typically an urgent matter so should not take days. I needed the claims person to speak to my vet, she called and left a messg for the vet to call her back knowing that you can almost never get to a specific claims person when calling, and my Vet doesn't have the time to keep calling her- but did leave her a return message which was never responded to. Eventually I was able to get an email address for this adjuster - but only that adjuster could complete the claim- any adjuster should be able to step in and deal with it.

Reasonable rates. Excellent customer service! Easy to understand and use claim process. Processing times are usually pretty quick. I highly recommend their services!!

Excellent full service pet insurance coverage
Our dog, Kylie, is recovering from a TPLO surgery to correct a dislocated knee cap and a knee tendon tear. She is going well and goes for her 4 week XRAY exam and Doctor's review next week. We especially like the On-Line Claims request process which only requires a cellphone photo of the Invoice entered on the Happy Paws internet site. My wife and I really appreciate all the attention and concern you have stated in emails on her condition. Healthy Paws is an outstanding organization for pet care and it has greatly improved in a cost effective way major pet medical surgery procedures for our dog, Kylie.

Solid, caring company.
Terriffic people who truly care! I have had a policy for many furbabies over the yrs. Presently a cat and dog. Such a relief to know I can give the best care possible without the worry of $. My vet direct bills to Trupanion, so I dont have to worry about a thing. It's a no brainer to me! 🤸🏼♀️ love 🐶 🐺

Simple, caring, and helpful
I have two dogs insured with Nationwide and highly recommend anyone with pets to insure them with Nationwide. My senior dog has had extensive health issues - from thyroid issues, to bone cancer - and Nationwide has allowed me to give her the best treatment possible. While my younger dog hasn't had as severe health issues, he has managed to severely break nails and a tooth, along with getting into something that caused severe intestinal issues, and Nationwide has been there to help me take the best care of him, too. They've covered the majority of all vet bills, and on the rare occasion that I've needed to call to speak with customer service, they were extremely friendly, professional, helpful, and most importantly, caring. My dogs are my furry kiddos, and I trust Nationwide to help me provide them with healthy, happy lives.

Stress is gone
Gracie was diagnosed with cancer. Having Nationwide insurance has taken the stress and concern of paying for the best treatment available. I can concentrate on Gracie and not worry about paying for the best. Nationwide handles the claims quickly and are very helpful is I have any questions.

Outstanding coverage and customer service
I have been extremely pleased with the covered expenses for the care of Kenzie over the past year, the accurate information always provided by the customer representatives in a professional and caring manner, and the ease of processing claims and receiving reimbursement. As a retiree I was surprised by the big increase in premium for my second year and hope that won't happen each year in the future.
