I was so concerned by the series of health problems my dog has had in the last year. What seemed at first like a small infection in his foot turned into a full ACL tear. I was worried that having to submit a series of claims regarding the vet visits, medications and finally the surgery would be a headache. But, PetsPlusUs have paid everything and been helpful and friendly throughout the entire process. Their phone staff is smart and empathetic. It's such a relief to know that I can focus on my dog's recovery and not on the medical bills. My only suggestion for improvement would be an online sign in so I can see and download my claims history. Instead, you have to rely on e-mails or phone calls to inquire about their status.

I do not recall having any problem with this insurance policy or claims filed. Thanks for being a great insurance company! Too many make the word "insurance" negative. P.S. Emma is all well after all too frequent visits to the emergency room and her vet for various ailments this past summer and fall. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a good, but uneventful, holiday season for Emma.

Best Decision Made
Our 3 dogs have been insured from the day they came into our home. There is no way we could have properly treated our aging babies without the help of pet insurance. The claims have been processed in a timely manner, and when you are retired it’s a great help. The option of one of them having to be put down because of illness is out of the question, with Nationwide we have been able to treat them as they’ve aged and gotten sick, just like people. I found out about pet insurance 12 years ago, and it was the best decision made.
