Processing error
There was a processing error on my most recent claim that I noticed and called customer service immediately. Although the wait time was too long, I was assured that it was being reprocessed. This was fixed within a couple days and I was reimbursed quickly.

Summary rejection of appeal in a few hours is unacceptable
Before September my review would have been 5*. But the way you rejected a claim when even your rep could not see why that was reasonable and especially the summary rejection of the appeal in less than half a working day with zero explanation and saying that I claimed ZERO and therefore paid ZERO is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional

HORRIBLE SERVICE
I had to select atleast one star to leave a review but Nationwide is deserving of 0 stars. I have had countless issues in the one year since I started coverage. From getting my information incorrect (pets mixed up), to not communicating, to being VERY difficult. I have not been satisfied to say the least.

The reimbursement process is so simple
The reimbursement process is so simple! I had an issue once where it got caught up and worked with their support team. I could tell they really wanted to help me figure it out. It took a while but once it got sorted I got my refund right away. Appreciate all the help from their team!

Pets Best is truly the best
Six months ago my dog became suddenly very ill. The initial diagnosis was that it was likely terminal cancer, but no cancer was found on any biopsy. After several tests, scans, consults, etc., it seems she has an autoimmune condition and is responding so well to her current treatment. She's almost 100% back to her old self. Her treatment plan is to slowly reduce her meds to see if she how she responds and if her immune response has calmed down. We went from consulting a hospice vet and buying books to explain the death of a pet to our 4 year old son, to her back to chasing squirrels and playing like her old silly self. If she wasn't insured, we wouldn't have been able to afford this process - we were very close to having her put down when the initial cancer diagnosis was made. I called Pets Best for help with my first claim and started crying about her condition, and the woman I spoke to was the kindest, most comforting representative of any company I think I've ever encountered. The claims processes have always been clear, quick, and, straightforward, and Pets Best has approved every reimbursement except for things that are clearly not covered in her policy (overnight postage for labs, and OTC diarrhea medicine). I am so thankful every day that we chose Pets Best to insure our dogs, and I am eternally grateful for how its helped make keeping our dog alive affordable and less stressful.
