I would say this was a 4.8 stars…
I would say this was a 4.8 stars experience. This particular illness for my dog was many vet visits and a hospitalization in which my vet invoices daily. That means I had to file many "claims". Other than that, I am impressed with their communication and follow up. I've been told my claims have been paid but haven't received the direct deposit payments yet. Will update.

Great customer service all questions answered
I had gotten an estimate online but had so many questions before actually putting my payment through. Finally called, spoke to Karley on the phone and she was lovely. Answered everything and more, she was even able to change my plan according to my needs financially.

Signing up for Embrace was very difficult.
Signing up for Embrace was very tedious. After an initial wait time of about 10 minutes, I was connected to the wrong department. As a result, I had to endure another wait time. The customer service rep. was not particularly knowledgeable in answering questions. The App was a joke. It was very difficult to establish a password as there seemed initially to be a problems in offering that option. Instead, the program wanted to generate its own password. When I was finally offered the chance to create my own password, I was told that I would receive a numerical code via text. I never received a code despite continually requesting one. Next, both my password and username were not recognized. After talking with a second rep., the situation was resolved after two hours total time. I came very close to cancelling my policy with Embrace and trying a different company.

Everything went well until I clicked…
Everything went well until I clicked the chat button. They weren't available for chat but there was no way to get rid of the chat box. Hoping nothing was hiding behind that chat box as I finished the transaction; I did not want to start all over.

I recently got meltife pet insurance…
I recently got meltife pet insurance for one of my dogs. After reading the policy in full and seeing clearly that injuries were covered on day one of policy, I decided that this is the insurance I would choose. Shortly after my policy started, my dogs leg was stepped on by another dog causing her to favor her left leg. I submitted a claim which was denied. I appealed the claim and submitted amended chart notes that gave proof of the diagnosis and the cause of injury. The appeal was again denied. I decided to send all documents and went section by section to provide as much evidence to show that this was an injury. Metlife denied my appeal stating that the strained ligament and bone chip were caused by a predisposed condition. My dog has never been diagnosed with any previous conditions, let alone a musculoskeletal condition. Metlife is therefore claiming that my dog was diagnosed with an illness that is nowhere on her medical record and deeming her injury as an illness. This is falsified assumptions and is being decided by a claims adjustor who has no apparent knowledge of the difference between injury and illness. This insurance company is not looking out for it's customers and refuses to look further into the claim.

Incredible kindness and empathy
We put our beagle boy, Gilbert, to rest two weeks ago after 18 months of battling kidney disease. ASPCA was nothing short of superb throughout the whole process. Handled every claim, closed the account without our having to do a thing, even sent a lovely voice mail and email expressing their sympathies. Can't say enough about them. If we get another fur baby, ASPCA will be the first call. Thank you to the entire ASPCA insurance team.
