Predatory and Unethical
I have had healthy paws since 2013 for my dog. Only minor claims and my premiums have always been more than I get back in claims but having the piece of mind of having insurance in case of something catastrophic was nice. Initially my dogs premium was $35. However the last 6 years the premium went up 130%, so that at 11 years old it was $220 a month. Now when he turned 12 Healthy paws increased my deductible from $100 to $500 and payout rate from 90% to 70% without warning. Customer service does not care and seems outsourced. This company is predatory and unethical and I would like to warn anyone who is thinking about pet insurance to go with another provider. Avoid Healthy Paws at all costs.

My dog
My dog, Zainah has been through a traumatic surgery. Pumpkin has been with me all the way--she is recovering now. Not only have they been there financially, but also emotionally. Each person with whom I have spoken has been so caring and supportive. My only frustration has been that check take a long time to come---I would so appreciate if this could be expeditated. I have already recommended Pumpkin to many people. And now the hospital who did the surgery has Pumkin on their referral list.

Experience on filing claim
We have 2 mixed terrier puppies Bandit turned 1 year in October and Tulip will be 1 year in July. MetLife answered any questions when it came filing a claim and how long a process would take. Claims were processed very quickly and deposited right to our account. Would rececommend MetLife Pet Insurance to anyone wanting insurance for their pet
