Great coverage and responsiveness
We joined Pumpkin when my dog was already 10 years old. I had concerns that her medical history might prove problematic, but they signed us on with no trouble and the coverage they gave us was excellent. The team at pumpkin were always responsive and relatively fast at processing claims - especially once a precedent for a particular issue had been established. We lost our dog recently, but I’d use Pumpkin again if we ever have another dog.

Blue's eye surgery.…
I had to take my dog Blue to eye surgery because she had a "Deep corneal ulcer to the rt eye. The surgical team got in touch with Trupanion and filed the needed forms. Trupanion gave approval immediately. Blue was scheduled the next day. I only had to put down a deposit. Blue had successful surgery and we took her home later the same day. she has a follow up appointment a week later. Complete recovery about three weeks. Without Trupanion insurance I would have spent $5000 and $8000 dollars. I am very thankful for the coverage i got for Blue's operation.

I cannot recommend Trupanion enough.
I cannot recommend Trupanion enough. We had insurance for our dog Blueberry and when we got our kitten Huckleberry, we went back and forth on whether to add him. We decided to. I'm so glad we did. Huckleberry ended up being diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disease. The kind of medical journey that follows a diagnosis like that is expensive, emotionally exhausting, and overwhelming. Trupanion took the financial piece completely off the table. They worked directly with our vets -- we weren't paying out of pocket and waiting to be reimbursed, it was handled. We got to focus entirely on trying to find answers and giving him the best chance. We lost him. But we got to try everything, and we didn't have to compromise because of money. That matters so much. The customer service deserves its own mention. Every single person I spoke with felt like they genuinely cared. Not in a scripted way -- in a real way. That kind of consistency doesn't happen by accident. If you're on the fence about insuring a young, healthy pet: just do it. You don't know what's coming. Trupanion made sure that when the worst happened, money wasn't part of the equation.
