Excellent coverage, lengthy time reimbursements.
The most recent experience was excellent. Five stars across the board. In the past, it has been frustrating because it does take a very long time to Reimburse. However, this last was quick and we appreciate that. We’ve never waited such a long time for reimbursements. A few times we had a quick reimbursement, but for the most part, it does take a while. So if you can wait, they are good company. I just wish I knew in the beginning that it was gonna take forever to get money back.

Amazing service after my two dogs spent a weekend in the Emergency Vet Hospital. Reimbursement for their costly treatment (possible toxin ingestion) was fast and easy to file.

Not sure if this is worth the hassle
I have been trying to get a claim paid since October. Part of it was my fault—I didn’t provide the proper proof of purchase—but the remainder has been slow customer service and horrible app and website experiences. I found the proper proof of payment and have emailed it at least three times for processing. My claim was closed due to not sending in proof of payment. I spoke with a customer service rep who indicated I needed to submit a new claim, referencing the old claim, which I did. Now I’m getting emails saying the new claim is incomplete. The app and website won’t allow me to upload the information—I keep getting error messages. I have sent screen shots of the error messages in with my emails (I can’t be the only one having this issue!) and get crickets. Hold times are ridiculous and when I did get through the rep said they would handle the problem which they haven’t done. I just adopted two kittens and was going to add them to the policy, but why bother when all I am getting is frustrated! Also, every time I sign in on my iPad I get the message that I’m using a new device and have to wait for an email in order to login again. Whatever system upgrade you had in the fall created more issues than it resolved. I’m not sure I’m going to renew this policy.

I am just incredibly grateful to whomever helped with my very first claim. I did not receive the check in the mail. I am very new to Embrace and just recently updated my direct deposit. I was initially told that the check had to be reissued which would have taken time. THANK YOU to whomever noticed my direct deposit set up and went that route instead. I received an email letting me know and was relieved

Overall I am pleased with my…
Overall I am pleased with my experience. The claim submission process is fairly straightforward and the claims are reviewed quickly. My plan covers dental cleaning, which my pets have needed yearly since I signed up. My main complaint is the fact that preexisting conditions are not covered (which I knew when I signed up and is not specific to MetLife Pet Insurance). I find that terribly unfair in general and wish there were an evolution in the pet insurance world as there has been in the human health insurance world.
