My dog has been really sick lately. Had to file multiple claims and call to see if things were covered. Phone call was very pleasant and helpful. Claims were handled quickly which really helped. Thanks !

First Claim Filings
Since this is the first claims I had made since switching to Pumpkin, the one thing I would have appreciated is that I received more communication on getting our account set up with ALL of Etta's medical records since she was a puppy. If I truly understood this was required I would of been more prepared.

They make you work
When I called to change something of my policy, they were kind and helpful. But we tried to create a claim in the app, it kept getting deleted. We called, they asked for more proof of money paid for the stuff done to my baby. We provided the stuff and they closed the claim and asked for more paperwork. It took us a while for them to accept the claim and for us to get money to help for the services done to my baby.

Difficult Company to Work With at Time
I had 2 major issues with this insurance but they have so far covered my recent claims. The first big issue I had was after activating my accounting and waiting the 14 days I was approved to start submitting claims. But then after submitting a claim I was told my cats were not of age at the time I activated my plan so the coverage date would be pushed back and therefore my claims were denied. I ended up loosing a lot of money over this and I found it extremely frustrating that I would not be reimbursed for a mistake made by the company. They should have never approved me for coverage in the first place if I wasn’t qualified. The second issue I had was that the insurance would not process my claim because they kept requesting records from before my pet was even born. It was impossible to get ahold of someone and they definitely outsource their call center so it is hard to communicate and get issues resolved. Eventually that dispute was settled but I was so close to canceling my plan due to these issues. I’ve invested a lot of money into this insurance and the reviews are good so I’m hoping I don’t ever run into any major issues ever again.
