Preventive care

Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

I saw Dr. Grange for vet care for my golden retrievers. She did physicals and bloodwork for both of my boys and was excellent with them. Even mentioning some labs for one of my boys with gut issues that I had never heard of. Very thorough. She also neutered my two year old golden. I was absolutely dreading this and shed tears when dropping him off. When I picked him up he looked great and was ready to go! His incision was very small and healed quickly. The staff were very kind and helpful as well in the process.

When you bring a pet into a Vet, it’s not only to get shots and usual wellness checks but to build rapport and faith in their services for when something more severe may occur. I was very disappointed this morning to find that even when you Press 1 for emergencies they are still going to try to put you on hold, and have no sense of emergency. I also found this vet squeezes their bookings in so tightly that you’re not going to have a chance if your pet gets injured and needs to see someone ASAP. The schedule rules all here and they are comfortable letting your pet sit in pain for them to be ready. I did get upset and tell them I wanted him in ASAP and it was ridiculous for him to wait and they did find an appointment opening for me 3 hours after my initial ask. But at this time I was already leaving Evergreen Pet Clinic with a well taken care of Pet that did in fact have a painfully injury that was addressed in a timely manner. Do better!

I’ve been bringing Gustaf to Walnut Creek Veterinary for years. There are a few good vets in this area but this one is my favorite. Dr Jill is amazing and her other doctors and staff do a great job with making your pet feel comfortable and if they are sick, back to normal as quickly as possible.
