I've been paying for the insurance for 9 months and only just now filed a claim. I filed after an emergency visit on May 2 2026. Today May 14 it's still pending. My vet sent records a week ago. But that wasn't good enough. Without the vet knowing Lemonade emailed them back asking the policy number be added. Only after I got frustrated and called around did my vet discover this. Now Lemonade has everything but still haven't finished reviewing my claim. They lie when they say most claims handled same day and within 48 hours. I have cancelled my policy because I don't want to pay $56 a month for nothing but headaches and stall tactics.

I have had met pet insurance for years and they have always been excellent to deal with from easy situations to the most heart breaking times. They have always shown compassion and empathy toward whatever I was going through with my pets. And it helped cover the cost at times when I needed them. I couldn’t be more appreciative and grateful that I was covered!

Cardiac issues
I am so glad I picked this insurance company back in 2021, to ensure the health and well being of my feline. They have been kind, understanding and my claims have been taken care in the shortest time possible. Without them, I do not know how I would have handled her condition.
Great experience
I recently switched from another company due to rude customer service. Pets Best was very easy to get in contact with, answered all my questions, and were polite. They paid my claim in a timely manner and without issue. I shopped around before selecting this company and they were by far the most bang for my buck.

Poor Premium update notice
I called to change my address bc I moved out of state. The person that was helping me updated me with a much higher premium cost than what I was currently paying. She couldn't explain to me why the cost was higher for me in Michigan vs New York, NY - one of the most expensive cities in the world. It was odd, and unsettling.

Unfortunately after 14 years of paying…
Unfortunately after 14 years of paying into Trupanion's pet insurance (with no significant claims) when the time came that we truly needed them Trupanion let us down. As our beloved Husky Loki suffered ill health in later life, coverage for her was repeatedly denied. On one occasion we submitted a bill of $618.00 and they covered only $28.00! When she finally passed Trupanion drove in the final nail by refusing to cover the cost of her cremation because she had passed away naturally and not as a result of an accident. So much is conveniently hidden away in the small print of their coverages. The mantra of all insurance companies is "Deny, deny, deny" and Trupanion is no exception.
