Exceptional Experience

I almost never leave reviews, so candidly it's more than a little surprising that I would be taking the time to add a review for - of all things - an insurance company. After all, by their very nature, it's usually not a positive situation that results in interacting with insurance companies... but these guys deserve a top star rating. I've had their insurance for my 15 year old Siberian Husky for a few years now, and (thankfully) only during this last year have I really needed to make use of it, but I was *delighted* to find that when it did become time to really lean on the insurance company for help with some rather major vet bills (Glaucoma related eye surgery and care being the big one), Pumpkin did *exactly* what they promised. They reimbursed/covered expenses that would have really strained my bank account almost immediately and without hassle once I hit my deductible. There were no wild hoops to jump through, no endless form submission and resubmissions... in fact their online claim submission is incredibly easy to work with to the point that submitting a claim takes literally 60 seconds or less after initial setup. I don't know how much longer I'll have with Phoenix, but I can say with certainty that having Pumpkin Insurance for him has guaranteed that I'll get every possible minute of *quality* life with him thanks to being able to make decisions based purely on giving him the care he needs. Top notch company, and I'd recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone with a pet.

Quick turnaround for claims

Quick turnaround for claims and my dog’s. Allergies have been covered. The representatives are usually available quickly and have always been courteous, helpful and respectful. Unfortunately, the cost of coverage continues to rise annually, supposedly because the cost of veterinary care also is rising. That may be so, but it is difficult for the policy holder.

Unsure what the problem is

I've been trying to get a claim submitted since 11/17 (it's now 12/29) and I have no idea what the issue with pets best is. Right off the bat, every single claim I've submitted takes so long that they send me multiple emails apologizing for the delay. For every. Single. Claim. So I wasn't too surprised when this one took a while. However when they finally reached out to the vet for medical records, they claimed they never received a response and canceled the claim. So I called the vet and they emailed me the form from pets best that they had filled out and sent back to them. So I think okay maybe because my pet is under a different last name at the vet, I should clarify that even though it's kind of obvious that it's my pet, maybe they just have an automated system that didn't figure it out. So I resubmitted the claim with the records, and I'm STILL waiting. Anyone with a brain can look at the records and figure it out, as a matter of fact, it could probably be done by AI with no problems. Moral of the story is, I think they have a single gerbil handling all their claims because that's the only reason I can think of as to why filing a claim with them is so torturous. I wish I could switch to a different insurance company but of course that means my pet's now "pre-existing conditions" wouldn't be covered.
