The first time filing a claim took a bit to understand the process and submit everything needed Didn’t take long and I believe within a week I received notice that claim had been reviewed and they were processing a payment to me. Pumpkin Insurance Highly Recommended for our furry friends
As a proud dog mom to a miniature schnauzer named Paco, I take his health and wellbeing very seriously. When Paco was about 12 months old, I decided to purchase pet insurance, and I chose Pumpkin because of the flexibility and coverage they offer. One of the main reasons I selected Pumpkin is that the insurance is recognized statewide, which is very helpful for people who may relocate and don’t want the hassle of changing providers. They also offer multiple plan options beyond the standard package, including preventative care. I opted for the preventative care plan along with the 90% reimbursement option, which has worked very well for us. Pumpkin’s pricing is incredibly reasonable, and the claims reimbursement process is very timely. I have found the turnaround time for refunds to be quite fast, and their claims department has been efficient. Customer service has also been excellent. Anytime I have had questions or concerns, the representatives have been knowledgeable and helpful. If I’m unsure whether a cost will be covered, Pumpkin offers a review process where they can estimate what portion of the claim would likely be reimbursed. I typically receive responses within 24 hours. Overall, my experience has been very positive. I would highly recommend Pumpkin Insurance to any pet owner, especially those who value flexibility, responsive customer service, and reliable coverage for their pet.

Great plans and easy to file claims
Website is easy to use. Explanations of different plans is clear and several choices of coverage. My past experience with Nationwide was great. I had a cat who got sick and passed away suddenly in July. My claim was promptly taken care of with no issues and policy canceled. Very helpful while going through loss of pet.
