Positive Customer Service experience
Aileen in Customer service was such a treat to talk with. She was clear, helpful, and an overall great person to talk to. I don't say this often but she provided a personal touch to the call, it felt like talking to a friend, while also getting my insurance setup.

Frustrated and Disappointed in refund experience.
This is the first time that I’ve had a negative experience. I’ve been using MetLife Pet for about six years now and have not ever had an issue with my reimbursement. I was told by three separate associates when I called that Zelle was experiencing issues with the Citibank side of things. While, I understand that this is outside of your immediate control as this is your third-party partner, communication to your customers especially your long-standing ones that this could be an issue could’ve allowed me to proactively updated my payment method to avoid this and my late reimbursement. Additionally, while I had updated information on one side of your company. It did not communicate with the third party side, and I wasn’t told until later that my addresses on file were incorrect. Your customer service agents on the phone have been friendly and warm, but unfortunately have not been able to give me any direct answers. They’ve tried to help support me and getting my refund in a timely manner and to the correct address but still cannot guarantee to me or answer to me where to expect to receive my refund. I emailed a couple of days ago and have received no response which also seems to be out of character for you all, but I’m really disappointed with how this interaction is going so far, and I’m frustrated that I have not received an answer. Not receiving this reimbursement or at least an actual answer in a timely manner, as I normally do, has created a negative impact and disruption on my day-to-day life. I hope that we can get this rectified ASAP and that you learned from this experience and better communicate with your customers so they can prevent these frustrating situations from happening in the future. I’m hoping that this is the one off thing and understand that mistakes do happen. I have for a long time recommended MetLife Pet to every friend and family member and client that I work with when they inquire about what pet insurance I use. However, if this trend continues, I may need to begin looking into other companies to use and recommend.

Pretty solid experience
The chat function was very helpful. Was a bit of a pain needing to provide more docs but once I did the refund was very quick. By the next day if not the same afternoon.

Only want to take your money
My dog had insurance from age 1 (when I adopted her from the shelter with no medical issues or records). I immediately bought insurance with 24Hr PetWatch and they were great. I took her for her first vet appointment after adoption around 45-60 days later for just a general check and she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. It was NOT deemed pre-existing because she hadn’t been diagnosed prior and it was an incidental finding during her wellness exam. She also should ZERO symptoms. 24Hr PetWatch sold out to this shady company who when attempting to reinstate my policy (at double my original premium mind you), cannot guarantee that her hips will be covered. Saying that “I can’t say if it will be covered since it may be related to knee or ligament problems in which case it would not be covered.” What the heck does that mean? I am a physical therapist and a knee is a knee and NOT related to the hip dysplasia (which was a congenital issue not an injury). Consider yourself warned! Look elsewhere for coverage!
