Filing a claim is super fast and easy
Customer service representatives have always been extremely helpful since the very beginning when they assisted me in selecting the best plan for our 2 dogs. Recently our 10yo had TPLO surgery and is currently receiving rehab. The process to submit a claim takes less than 5 minutes and the claims are reviewed, accepted and paid in a timely manner. No issues with the claims, all have been paid as outlined in our policy.

Trupanion takes care of our babies
Trupanion does such a great job, and takes such great care of our babies. I never have to worry about anything thanks to them! They even have the capability to pay some vets directly! =) I recommend them to every pet owner I know to include people I just meet.

Research other insurances first
After further research, I find that there are better pet insurance policies available other than Pests Best. I spend $68/ month and it takes over a month to even hear anything back regarding any claims let alone what is covered for reimbursement and not. And their interface system is out of date, taking up so much time to simply login.

I submitted a claim for Lexie's 2 year checkup. The claim was processed the same day and I then I received my check shortly after. I've never had to wait to speak with a representative and they have always been knowledgeable. Very refreshing!!

Every time I try and put in a claim…
Every time I try and put in a claim there is an issue. They have to go back and check records form different vets to determine if the claim is worthy of fulfilling. My primary vet is 50 miles away and was closed when my 2 year old Westies stepped on something in the yard and began limping. Went to emergency vet and was taken care, submitted the invoice and the have to go back 3 years and around the world to satisfy this claim after 11 days.

Normally I would put this all the way up to five, but recently there's been some sort of technical issue with their website. A month ago I have been unable to login to my account from a computer browser. Doesn't seem to matter if it's chrome, Firefox, or edge. I put in username and password and it goes to 403 Forbidden error, due to Microsoft Azure App Gateway. This naturally makes it hard to submit claims, etc. I had to download their app to get access to my account. I prefer the web browser as it allows easier access to vet bills to be added for claims. This is a recent issue, 2026, but this is going on six weeks now where have to rely on their app to access my account. Claims, support is all top notch otherwise. Highly recommend, but really need to get the online portal functioning.
