Angus - happy for pets plus insurance
Hi My 2.3 yo German shepherd developed 4 lumps on areas of his body . As a precaution, our vet reconnected removal . We are so fortunate to have insurance coverage for Angus with Pets plus. They provided a pre approval immediately.. The process was seamless . Hammond Plains veterinary were fantastic and handled sending the information directly to Pets plus . We absolutely are grateful to both and Angus is recovering well after surgery:) Thank you 🙏

TRUPANION DOSEN'T PAY
I TOOK MY DOG IN TO THE ANIMAL HOSPITAL FOR AN INJURY. TRUPANION DID NOT COVER THE EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT COST TO DETERMINE WHAT WAS HURTING MY DOG INTERNALLY. THEY ALSO DID NOT COVER THE XRAY COSTS TO DETERMINE WHAT COULD BE WRONG WITH MY DOG. THEY PROTECT THEIR SELF INTEREST BY STATING THAT AN EMERGENCY ROOM VISIT, BECAUSE MY DOG WAS YELPING IN PAIN, WAS AN "EXAM FEE" WHICH "THEY DO NOT COVER". HOW ELSE DOES AN EMERGENCY ROOM DETERMINE HOW TO TREAT AN INJURY WITHOUT LOOKING AT THE DOG FIRST? I CAN CLEARLY SEE HOW THIS COMPANY OPERATES NOW AFTER MY FIRST CLAIM. MY ADVISE, LOOK FOR OTHER PET INSURANCE PROVIDERS THAT ARE LEGITE. I'M SO DISAPPOINTED WITH TRUPANION AND I WILL BE LOOKING ELSEWHERE.

Best Pet Insurance...so far
Many Pets has been so awesome! What's really nice is they give you a break when it comes to pre-existing conditions. Meaning after so many months not having any issues, they wipe the slate clean and it's no longer pre-existing. Cooper has been doing well with not having to go to the vet for his allergy (pre-existing) issues. The customer service is the best I've ever dealt with. and I've been with a few other plans. So YES!!! on "Many Pets" they are in my book one of the best Pet Insurance companies out there!!!

Insurance Review
Pets Plus Us has provided us medical coverage for almost 2 years now. Our 2.5 year old Frenchie has required a number of (thankfully) mostly small treatments/procedures. Coverage and exclusions were made relatively clear, and all claims made that we expected to be covered (based on the policy) were covered with approval usually only taking a few days. Anytime we called in for assistance, the staff have been knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful, including advising us to submit claims even when we were in doubt as to coverage. At least once we did receive coverage when we were worried we might not, resulting in a pleasant surprise.

Run, don’t walk, away from PetsPlus
After reading reviews and the responses from the PetsPlus company, I immediately tried to cancel my new policy. The 1 800 number for Canada does not work - tried 3 times over the last 10 days. 3 emails sent over 1 and a half weeks have gone unanswered. However, the first payment for the policy was withdrawn from my bank account 2 days after I set up the policy. Clearly, money not service and the health of pets is the company priority despite all the sugary sentiments expressed about love of pets.

Our experience with PetsPlusUs
This company has been very helpful with the insurance for our dog's, Charlie's, health issues. I do find that speaking with a representative is much more satisfying and efficient than using e-mail or on-line chat. Having the ability to pay directly to the vet for major bills (2 surgeries) has reduced stress levels for me to just worrying about the dog, not about how to be able to pay. the PetsPlusUs team has been great to work with. I would recommend that getting the Accident and Illness Plan rather than just an accident plan is well worth the additional cost.

Not great
Overall I have been pretty unimpressed with this insurance company. The exclusions in my contract were not made very clear (I understand why there are exclusions, thats not the issue) until I submitted my first claim. It takes roughly 25-30 business days to receive payment IF it gets approved, and when I had an emergency and called the company to ask what we could do, they basically told me they couldn't do anything for a minimum of 10 business days and nothing was guaranteed (which obviously wouldn't work in the event of an emergency). Overall, I don't feel confident or supported by this insurance company and wish I hadn't switched from my last company.

You Can't Go Wrong with Healthy Paws
Our beloved Golden Retriever Katie Rose has had a number of medical issues over the years - especially in the last year as she struggled with tremors, seizures, and collapsing on stairs. We have engaged a rather large team of Vet specialists and, with their help, we have finally found some answers. During this challenging time, we really appreciated Healthy Paws responsiveness to our claims. They have been and continue to be a great partner in her health care. We would be experiencing significantly more stress if we didn’t have Healthy Paws there to helps through this financially.
