Simple claims process
"I have had Pets Best insurance on two pets. This was the first time I have had to file a claim. I appreciated the ease of the online claims process and the multiple emails with the claim status. Having this coverage allowed me to do what was needed to save my fur babies life. I am very satisfied with the coverage and service I received from Pets Best.
Fully Disappointed Customer
I’ve been with PetsPlusUs for over 10 years, but my experience has become increasingly frustrating. Every time I submit a claim, I’m met with another excuse for a denial. It feels like their goal is to find ways to avoid paying out, rather than supporting their customers. If it wasn’t for my long history with the company, I would have canceled long ago. My dog is aging, and as his health issues grow, the anxiety I feel dealing with this company only increases. I’m constantly left feeling that the coverage I’ve been paying for isn’t worth it. I encourage potential customers to look at third-party reviews to get a more balanced/truthful perspective.

Don’t get this insurance
I was happy with nationwide insurance until my dog turned 8 years old. He was promptly dropped. When I called I was told they don’t insure dogs over 8 years old for health and wellness, only accidents. Now anything he had in past is not covered under another pet insurance. This is an awful policy, I’m trying to get the word out so it doesn’t happen to other pet parents. Also if a condition runs in that breed it is not covered.

Not honest
Don’t put your card down for auto premium payments. They double charged me for October as soon at I added my card then refuse to refund saying I missed a previous payment when I did not. I have my bank statements and they cannot show proof where one was missed. They say they look into it but never got back to me. They always raise the premiums $20-$40 per month each year. They pick and choose what qualifies. I feel they are a very dishonest company

Pets Best at $600 a Year is a Monumental Waste of Money
Don't waste your money here on monthly debits. They make an excuse to not reimburse every single time. I have been with this insurance company a couple years now and have never been reimbursed for anything. It's highly laughable at this point to go through the motions of uploading the paid invoice to the vet, then sit and wait for an apology email as to why it's taking so long, then sometime later, a denial of coverage. Time and money wasted.
Highly Recommend Hartville Pet Insurance
I just wanted to take a moment to share how amazing our experience with Hartville has been. Our dog developed several medical issues as he aged and they always had our reimbursements returned to us within 5-10 days, directly to my bank account. It was always easy to update our policy for our needs. When our dog unexpectedly passed away after a short stay at an animal hospital, they were incredible to work with. The bill was massive, we were grieving the loss of our dog and Hartville Pet Insurance took care of everything after we submitted the claim (getting records from the animal hospital, etc.) and we were reimbursed every dollar that our planned covered. They also called me to send their condolences for our loss and check to see how our other dog was doing after this loss, as we have two dogs on our account with them. It was so thoughtful in a time that was very difficult for our family. We will be staying loyal customers!
Best Best is quick and easy to understand and gives peace of mind.
Our poor kitten had a sudden and scary abscess show up in her leg and we had to rush her to the emergency vet. We felt relieved to have the insurance as these visits can be quite costly. Once we were home again with our cat, we were able to easily submit the claim via the app and I just periodically checked the claim status and was reimbursed not long after submitting. Our kitty is feeling better and we were able to get reimbursed, it was a good experience overall.

Always dependable
As usual, Pets Best, reimbursed my claim in a timely manner. I was kept informed through out the process. I have one very healthy Cavalier and one not so healthy Cavalier. This particular claim required more information from UT Animal Hospital and i still received my reimbursement in a timely manner. I have this insurance for 3 yrs for 2 pets and I am extremely pleased with Pets Best.
