Fast and efficient refund!

"My kitty had a seizure at the vet's office and they sent me to an emergency hospital since they had given her a med for the seizure and she needed monitoring (and they were closing early) they asked me if I wanted to do imaging to get to the bottom of it and I said yes and they reffered me to a neurologist and they did all sorts of testing and imaging and I maxed out my credit card to pay for it but I had trust on petsbest because you guys always come thru and cover whatever it is. My refund/rebate was processed quickly and I was able to pay it back before the due date of my credit card. So I'm thankful to you guys a lot!! I'm gonna be a customer forever! "

Confidence When You Need It

As usual, you never see it coming. Suddenly my dog became lethargic, stopped playing, stood in front of his food bowl for a minute before half-heartedly eating. I sometimes ponder the importance of the monthly premium for pet insurance, at least when things are going well. But suddenly they aren't, and I'm happy to not have to worry about making choices due to finances at least. Turns out Lincoln had spiked a fever, and after bloodwork and an x-ray, it was still a mystery. My vet's best guess was to treat with antibiotics, which she said in a small amount of mystery cases such as this, helped resolve the problem. A good guess, and Lincoln recovered well within just a few days. Within a couple weeks after filing my claim, Pets Best reimbursed me, and sent me my EOB, all which were completely easy to understand. In my experience, this has been consistent behavior for this company over Lincoln's entire lifetime since puppyhood. He is now 8, and it's a no brainer for me anymore.

Pets Best is perfectly named

I have had Pets Best for my two dogs for about five years now and this might be the single best insurance company I've ever worked with. They've processed and paid claims with complete ease and great communication.. My 12 year old dog was recently diagnosed with cancer and they have covered all aspects of his care without any kind of resistance. I wish human health insurance was this good! Their service is, without a doubt, worth every penny I pay for premiums.

Need improvement

We used to have Healthy Paws but with 2 new dogs we tried Pets Best. Their price on one dog was lower but slightly higher on the other. We submitted a claim and it came back and they paid it as it should be paid however they took much longer to pay than healthy paws. I also don't like that they can't mail you a check this way I can tell that they paid it. Instead I had to keep checking my account to see if the money went in. I will reevaluate my contract when it's up.

Love this Company

Can't say enough about this Company. Our dog Rose had an unexpected accident which tore both her acls. Pets Best was there for us all the way. Easy to file claims and prompt processing. THANK YOU pets Best!!!!

I love Pet's Best

Pets Best is a great pet insurance. Submitting claims are really easy via the website or the app, which I have on my phone. I just snap a picture of the receipt, click the relevant options, and I can do the whole thing in a couple of minutes. Claim processing is usually timely, and the explanations are clear to understand. When my dog, Smudge, was bit by another dog, I was able to submit a claim for the bill and, because we'd met our deductible, we only owed less than $100 of a $4,000 bill. Pets Best lets me know we can get the care we need for our dog with peace of mind about the costs.

Avoid the Frustration!

I deeply regret switching to Pets Best from Nationwide,this has been the worst pet insurance experience I've ever had. The biggest issue is their claim denials; a significant majority of the claims I submit are rejected without clear justification, making it feel like their priority is avoiding payouts rather than supporting pet owners. On the rare occasion they do approve a claim, the reimbursement process is painfully slow, often taking weeks before I see any funds. This delay is frustrating, especially when dealing with urgent veterinary expenses. Having been with multiple pet insurance providers, I can confidently say Pets Best has been the most disappointing in terms of reliability and efficiency. If you're looking for peace of mind and timely coverage for your pet, I strongly recommend exploring other options. My experience has been nothing short of frustrating, and I truly regret making the switch.

I would recommend this company

I didn't file a claim for months after my cat passed away. I got her insurance and a couple weeks later we had to put her down. I had her for 16 years, so my entire adult life. I was pretty devastated and depressed. Also very anxious about calling and filing a claim. The representative made it super easy for me and she was very kind and understanding. The website was easy to use as well. I got refunded for the months my cat was not alive. If I get another pet, I would be very interested in using PetsBest again. I appreciate it being hassle free and I received my refund very quickly
