Horrible Company
I had my pet insurance through 24hour Pet Watch - they decided to no longer do insurance so they sold my plan to Hartville. I am now paying more $34.00 more and I have less coverage. Customer Service horrible! I was able to summit claims for prescription food and wellness visits but not with this company!! Do not get your insurance through Hartville.

Pets best is great!
My cat was diagnosed with moderate to advanced heart disease and pets best has been there for it all. They have made the process for filing claims simple and it has really helped during this difficult time. The quick reimbursement helps too since we have had many, many doctor's appointments and medications. They aren't one of the insurance companies you have to fight with to get reimbursed. I've recommended them to a lot of my friends.

"It is an easy process and my claim went through very quickly without any issues. Though this was a minor issue for a prescription, it's really a comfort to know that they will be there if my pet has a big issue as well."

Healthy Paws Insurance Coverage
We've been pleased with our experience to date with Healthy Paws insurance. Our dog needed TPLO surgery about 3 weeks ago and the policy has covered exactly what we expected based on the policy documents. Claims have been processed on a timely basis and are straightforward to submit once you have the invoice and veterinary records to submit online. We'll be glad to renew our policy when it's time for that as our dogs are members of our family and we like the peace of mind having a good pet insurance policy brings for helping if there are unexpected medical expenses.
Awful. Disorganized.
Pets Best messed with my vet opthamologu claim for 2 months. $390. PB lost the vet medical record, 1 page. Vet sent another. PB started a new claim with new claim number. Dog was adopted march 8, 2025. PB said LA County Animal shelter records of adoption and health "invalid". Just completely absurd.

Not worth it
I have had their insurance for both of my dogs and I’ve never had to file a claim. I had to file one for something that I’ve never have and so far they’ve denied me.

I have always appreciated the low intensity of effort required to submit claims to PetsBest. Really makes the experience a smooth and respectful transaction instead of haranguing someone for money you are owed. Great going!
Silver Lining
After taking my dog to the ER for a snake bite and a stay that lasted 3 days in the ICU, I uploaded my claim to Pets Best mobile app. It was straightforward and easy. I was able to add my account information for direct reimbursement. I got a message from Pets Best that it was received, when it was delayed for a week, and when it was paid. I'm relieved they covered my claim as explained in their coverage plan. A silver lining after a difficult time for my family.

If you’re looking for good pet insurance this is the place to be. Pests Best!!! Very fair in pricing very helpful very fast in being reimbursed they are the best!!
