Horrible, I don't recommend it to anyone.

I purchased this insurance in May 2025, paid for two full months, and when I finally needed it, it was absolutely useless. I spent $200 on routine veterinary exams that the policy clearly states are covered — but of course, they weren’t. Instead, I was asked to provide my pet’s entire medical history from over a year ago. I came from Brazil, where it’s not common for vets to keep such detailed records — we simply don’t have them. So, in the end, I paid PetBest (which is far from “best”) for two months of premiums and then had to pay another $200 out of pocket. Horrible, horrible service. I would never recommend this insurance to anyone. Insurance is supposed to help in times of need — not create more problems and bureaucracy. Now I’m trying to cancel a policy that never helped me and is still charging me through automatic debit — and guess what? There is NO option to cancel it on the website. Absolutely ridiculous.

Easy Peasy Pet Insurance Claim

I signed up for insurance with Pets Best earlier this year and 4 months afterwards my dog, Amy had to go to the emergency vet with an overnight stay. I was so happy to have pet insurance for this unexpected expense. It was easy to submit the claim, and Pets Best kept me informed on the progress from the start of the claim to the reimbursement. It was easy peasy! I am happy to have peace of mind in case of any unexpected visits to the vet for my precious pet.

Peace of Mind

This is the third time our dog Jasper has had a major health issue that required surgery. Jasper suffered a traumatic eye injury when she went to sniff peanut butter from a live rat trap. The trap sprung and hit her in her left eye. She sustained major damage to her eye and required surgery to save it. Eye surgery is very expensive but since we had Healthy Paws insurance, the decision was easy. I am happy to say that Jasper's eye was saved and she does have some vision back in her eye. We can't thank Healthy Paws enough for their outstanding insurance and absolute ease in submitting claims.

No reimbursement despite coverage stating there should be

I don’t understand why my claim has been declined. I provided you with everything you needed from the vet for the bundle, physical therapy sessions, including medical notes and itemized receipt receipts for each visit. All the other services I have filed claims for have been approved, but these three claims have been declined. I don’t understand.

A life saver and an absolute relief

I've had my dogs insured with Pets Best for 5 years now and I am just so happy with the service. The claim submission process is easy and fair. The one time I had a question about my statement of benefits I was able to speak with a live representative easily and get the issue resolved. My older dog recently had to have surgery and it was such a relief knowing she was insured and that I trusted Pets Best to be fair and transparent (and didn't have to worry about an insurance battle over coverage while dealing with a sick dog). They've truly been wonderful to deal with and I routinely recommend them to people.

Stay Away - They are not helpful

Don't let the slick marketing fool you. My experience was bad. They are not helpful and they will deny your claim for the smallest of reasons. Do not use. Stay away.

Brody’s Battle

I had to rush my dog to the ER because he stopped eating and drinking. After hours of testing they found a blockage, after operating the surgeon discovered it was a tumor. It came back as Jejunum Adenocarcinoma, they got it out with clean margins and it didn’t metastasize. We started chemo recently and then started submitting all our bills. We were so overwhelmed with every thing but after getting confirmation that our claims would be covered I had a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. They gave us the most precious gift anyone can give us and that is TIME with our dog and HOPE that we can fight this and enjoy our boy for years to come. It has been a wonderful experience working with Pets Best!

Pets Best IS the best :)

Last year, we had a beloved, uninsured dog die of epilepsy. So, we immediately took out a Pets Best policy as soon as we adopted a new puppy. (We didn't expect to need it as soon as we did.) Pets Best no-fuss process for handling our claim was greatly appreciated! We will certainly recommend them to other owners at our neighborhood dog park. :)

Pets Best Insurance Review

Pets Best offers a user-friendly app that makes filing claims quick and straightforward, which is a huge plus for busy pet owners. Their customer representatives are friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to reach when needed. While the overall experience is positive, claims processing can sometimes take longer than expected, occasionally up to a month. It would be helpful if the app provided more detailed updates on the status of claims during that wait. Despite this, Pets Best remains a solid choice for pet insurance thanks to its responsive support and easy-to-use platform.
