Lightening Fast Claims Handling
Our dog had to have emergency surgery. All our claims were processed quickly, which was wonderful as we had to put a large amount on our credit card and were keeping our fingers crossed that the insurance payment would arrive before the card payment was due. It was received well in time, so many thanks to the team at Pets Best. I did add the vet's SOAP records to our dog's record with Pets Best, which may have made for easier processing of our claims. A big hats of to Pets Best!

The WORST!
I year after I purchased my policy, my dog was diagnosed with IVDD and required surgery. Figo approved and reimbursed physical therapy, acupuncture and x-rays related to the suspected IVDD/ neurological condition- which would indicate to anyone that this is approved. They then denied expensive MRI and surgery (Totaling almost $13,000) as they said it was a preexisting condition. They have run me around requiring more information from my vet, signed letters from the surgeon, the list goes on. I have now had to appeal the claim - yet they will not provide an exact reason for denial until after the appeal is closed. THE MOST ETHICAL COMPANY IVE EVER DEALT WITH. Not to mention they customer service is a joke. Telling me they would personally track my claim, only to never respond and tell me later they were out on PTO while they were supposed to be handling my paperwork that was requested to be received urgently from my vet.

"Somehow my dog got into poison or toxin and became very sick. The vet performed lab work and a regiment of liver recover vitamins and other prescription meds with follow up exam and labs. He is healthy and happy again. Pets Best covered almost everything after the deductible was met. The process was very easy, fast and simple, in my opinion. Worst Pet Insurance
I have had Metlife Pet Insurance for about 2 years. They have declined every single claims finding innovative ways to decline coverage. I have followed up multiple times and till date have not received a clear explanation on why the claims were rejected.

Denied my claim
I am contemplating moving my policies if all 3 of y dogs as y golden retrievers claim was denied due to them saying it’s routine care. This is a chronic problem my vet and I are trying to remedy. It is not routine care. And they they said the medication is not on their “list” so at this point everything has been denied including the testing. No point in having it if they deny everything. So disappointed
