Healthy Paws Alleviated Significant Financial Stress for my Family

My pug, who had always been incredibly healthy, simply jumped off of our couch (something he had always done!) and immediately lost feeling in his back legs. We had to rush him to the hospital for immediate care and hospitalization. An MRI showed a herniated disc and significant spinal trauma. The hospital kept him for a period of days as he was going to need medication, rest and rehabilitation (and maybe eventual surgery). With the vet, we came up with a care plan in order to bring him home. But the first day we brought him home - he had a bad reaction to medication and had to be hospitalized again. All in all, he was hospitalized for almost a week. We were devastated and very stressed, to say the least. In the background, knowing we had Healthy Paws made all the difference. The claims process was so smooth and simple, and the reimbursement was in my account so quickly. Not having to fight on the financial end of things made our lives easier when all we wanted to do was focus on our fur baby. I am grateful that we have pet insurance with Healthy Paws, 10000%!!!

Untrustworthy company - They intentionally lie and deceive their customers.

My dog was seen at a vet for a possible ear infection on 12/4/2021. He was treated and released. My dog was taken to the vet on 2/18/2023 and I was told he is not covered because there is a 12 month waiting period. The gaps between the 2 vet visits is approximately 15 months which is much longer than the 12 month waiting period. Embrace is saying he wont be eligible for coverage until 2/18/2024. Also, my dog has a small mass on his chest his whole life which is roughly the size of a dime. This mass has remained the same size his whole life. Embrace rep, told me since we dont have exact explanation of the cause of the mass, my dog is no longer covered for any time of cancer. In all, avoid Embrace pet insurance at all cost. They lie, they deceive, and they dont uphold their policies. I dont understand how they are still in business.
