Pets Best's $1,000 deductible with 90% payment and unlimited coverage has allowed us to cover all of our dogs with lower premiums while protecting us from the cost of serious illness or injury. Both of my cats got an upper respiratory infection at the same time. One was so sick that he had to stay at the VET for a week. SPOT could not have made it easier to submit their claims. I snapped photos of the bills, answered a couple of questions and 2 days later, the money was in my account. YAY!!

Trupanion claim that they requested my dog records without my consent from my dog vet . I call my veterinarian office and speaking with the manager on 3/05/ 2026. No one not even my veterinarian office is to give out any records with our my consent or signature PERIOD! TRUPANION!!!!!!!!

Avoid Pets Best
My claim was denied for a pre existing condition completely unrelated to the claim. Customer service is terrible and I spent hours on hold on to be told about a lengthy appeal process. I canceled the policy, never received my refund and spent hours on hold again chasing it down. Horrible company.

Easy claims
All I do is take a photo of my receipt attach to my communication and a few weeks later, I receive a check after I have reached my deductible.
Rate increase 10% annually?
I submitted a claim for wellness exam and immunizations a few weeks before my policy was set to expire, then my renewal came and my rate went up almost 10%. I doubt it was coincidental and can't imagine what percentage increase it would have been had I submitted a claim for illnesses or injuries.
