Very slow to get anything done
I have spent since October 2020 (it is April 2022) to upgrade my pet's insurance from accidental to a more comprehensive plan to no avail. I got the tests and exams they wanted done and had my vet send them over, but then didn't hear anything from them for months and my plan didn't change. I've called every few months, resent information, and someone was apparently reviewing my file but it never got properly attended to. Every person I spoke with was lovely but it didn't help me to get the insurance I wanted. I finally gave up after I called one last time (never was called back) and then sent an email which also got no response. I wasted hundreds of dollars getting the extra tests for nothing.

We're new to Trupanion as of January…
We're new to Trupanion as of January but I will never need to find a new provider fot our doggie. He was a rescue who did not know love for 6 years until he found us. We only get him the best. Trupanion is it for us. Thank you for being with us through this so far difficult year. You've made it better. Highly recommend. I'd rate 10 stars if I could.

Claim turnaround is slow, but customer service was helpful and friendly
We have pet insurance for our 1 year old cat and 1 year old pug. We filed two claims in early March for our dog and in my opinion the turn around time was very slow. I have nothing to compare it to since this was our first time using pet insurance, however when I read reviews before purchasing the insurance people said it was very quick like a week or less. I have not found that to be true. Explanation of benefits on claims was a bit difficult to read through, however customer service was very available, friendly and helpful. So far so good.
