Improper Underlying Conditions Assessment
My cat was documented with an underlying condition that was not specified by my vet and they would not remove it. They're just trying to save as much money as they can and hurt consumers like myself

Covered for a decade...
We have used Healthy Paws for over a decade and have been very happy with our experience. Whenever our dogs have an unexpected vet need, the process to submit invoices/vets notes is easy, and the reimbursement prompt. Through our first dog who liked to grow lumps and bumps and ultimately had a splenic mass that took him. But the 20k+ of vet bills when we tried the surgery, ICU stay and 4 weeks of vet visits was covered and we never had to think about the cost of trying to save our favorite boy. Our girl had a vaginal abscess (likely from a foxtail) when she was a baby, sedation, I&D and post-op covered; crying uncontrollably over a paw scratch when she had her first period (X-rays and stuff to ensure she wasn't dying contrary to her belief) covered; recently got attacked by an animal, again, didn't think twice about going to the emergency vet at 10p to get her fixed up. And Healthy Paws reimbursed our subsequent follow-ups with the vet. They also sent a lovely condolence card when we lost our boy and a followup email to see how our girl was doing when we had repeated visits after the animal attack. It doesn't cover everything but I don't want something to cover the usual vet visits/shots, those I already plan for. Pet insurance is for when the worst happens so I don't even have to think twice when the doctor quotes a 10k surgery/ICU stay. Our vet doesn't even bother giving us price quotes anymore because we always tell him to do what he needs to do and we know we will be well covered by Healthy Paws.

Useless customer service
Useless customer service. I pay for the preventative care on top of the accident /illness. Had a claim processed just fine a couple months ago. Had to have dental for my pet due to some gum issues which should have counted. I should’ve at least gotten $100 toward a cleaning at the with the preventative coverage. Whole claim was denied outright because I couldn’t produce medical records from YEARS before I got my pet. Calling customer service just got me a headache of a man who couldn’t remember the species of my pet or my name AND kept repeating the same reasoning over and over again despite any answer I gave him. Save your time and money.

Spot insurance handled my claim quickly & fairly! They were super easy to work with and processed my claim immediately. They are sending me a check much sooner than I would have ever imagined. Other companies should be so efficient! There were no attempts to deny the claim or ask a million questions. The company does what it says they will do!
