Figo is awesome! Give them a chance!
I’ve insured several of my dogs with Figo all the way back to 2018. My dog Thor has been on Figo Pet Insurance since I adopted him in November of 2019. My experiences have all been positive. Filing claims is super easy and you can check the status of your claim on the Figo/Pet Cloud app. Customer service has always been top notch and they pay out reimbursements quickly. The only thing I wish Figo would have is direct pay to the vet. If they had that, it would help pet parents that can’t pay for vet care and then wait to be reimbursed. Great job, Figo!

I have a 6 year old female Australian Shepherd who became violently ill with non stop vomiting. Brought her to an animal emergency vet, $600 later brought her home - still vomiting.
Took her to another animal hospital- she was admitted for two nights for observation and dehydration; desperately in need of IV fluids. Total bill - $ 2000.
So relieved to be able to make a claim on the pet insurance. I had a $100 deductible and was covered 80%. It relieved the financial burden and I was able to focus on her recovery.

Couldn’t be happier
I am so grateful for having signed up with Trupanion for insurance for my cat. As we know unexpected things can certainly come up. Long story short my cat was hospitalized for two days and without Trupanion my cost would’ve been close to $5000. they reviewed my claims instantly and approved everything. They paid the vet directly, and I only had to pay the balance. highly recommend!

Claims
I have 2 pets on this insurance. 2 claims were reveiwed, both claims accepted. It is stressful having pets with medical problems , dealing with the stress with the comfort of the pets, they are family, don't want to see them in distress. Thankfully
this has helped take some stress and worry away. Thank you

Everyone at Metlife Petfirst has always taken time to help and guide me through claims, etc. They've also been very friendly, attentive and concerned. I think my girl is being well taken care of.

Very dissatisfied
We have been satisfied with this company until last year.
Since the Summer of 2022 the insurance has not reimbursed us for any veterinary/emergency visits for our beagle. They don’t reply anymore to the phone, you cannot leave a message, and whenever I wrote to them the past 8 months I got an automatic reply, see below:
Hello,

Catherine, We truly appreciate you being part of the Healthy Paws family for over 12 years. We're sorry that your recent customer service experience did not meet your or our expectations. In regards to your claims, your 2022 claim was not eligible for coverage under the behavioral exclusion in your plan. Your other claims were either processed/covered and applied to your deductible or denied since they were for a condition that was noted as being pre-existing prior to your enrollment or during the plan waiting period. We do our best to be transparent throughout our website, during the enrollment process and in the plan documents available to each client in their online Healthy Paws account regarding the limited exclusions of our plan. Those exclusions are pre-existing conditions, preventative/routine care and the office visit fee (vet exam, emergency exam, recheck or consultation). Anyone visiting our website can see this information on our “Benefits, Coverage and Exclusions” page.
