Not a trustworthy company
Gave them a one star rating a year ago because I couldn’t leave a zero. Same thing. Again, what a scam. Just received notice that rates are going up again! I now pay almost twice as much to insure my two dogs as I do my whole family. Started at $100/month per pet when I signed on, now it’s $170/month. In addition to that the last claim I made, for a previously established health condition, was unnecessarily delayed in processing. Despite being submitted by the vet directly, reimbursement was withheld until Trupanion could review the vet’s chart notes. Most assuredly to look for a way out of covering the claim. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Make sure it’s right for you
Our dogs are generally healthy and haven’t had any big issues. However the denial claims have been more frequent than not and they automatically disqualified our golden retriever for anything related to hip dysplasia and denied our rescue mix for a wellness benefit without cause. I have regrets having been with Petsbest from the start. Our GR’s premiums is now 400 a month which is the same as mine! A 100 dollars a month increase from last year. We are likely to now cancel our insurance with Petsbest. I am disappointed that we have to do this.
