Disgraceful
I think it’s absolutely disgraceful that Trupanion will “cover” only 2 months of prescription diet for a pet with a chronic condition. And I am using the term “cover” very loosely here because they only cover 90% of 50% of the cost. At that %, the amount covered is honestly just offensive. Why bother? I can understand you not covering regular food, but an actual prescribed diet? Shameful.

Too expensive
I’ve been with trupanion from the beginning. Lately the price has gone way up, it’s no longer cost effective. At the same time, coverage has gone down. I’ve been with trupanion for about 15 years but if I had to pick an insurance company today I would consider other options.

Seamless! My VET, VCA Marple gave me my total bill, did some keyboard magic in the background and reduced the amount I owed by $1100!! My portion was <$700!!! Every once in awhile I look at the premium cost and wince but now realize it has been a bargain!!!

Way too expensive
Way too expensive. When I first got my dog and got him insurance I was paying $95. Now after years I’m paying $240… absolutely insane. If I really didn’t need I would’ve cancelled it by now. Terrible. Instead of lowering the price they increase it.

From the top, having this partnership with Delta airlines is very much appreciated. The process to get a quote online was very helpful giving me visuals of what to expect. The wait time for a representative took no time at all. The representative Mrs. Christy was the best. She was very informative gave me the best option available, very personable and understanding. The coverage and rate was the final piece to put everything into place. This whole process made me feel I was doing the right thing with helping my pet be insured with this company, after coming from another company with rates sky high and small underlying loop holes. I wish I started here first but I’m grateful to be here now. This process was so uplifting that I may start looking into the process of getting a cat for my daughter and I will have a peace of mind with the security of her health with this company. Thank you so much for everything!!!!
