Our puppy ate a part of a deceased rodent

I woke up in the middle of the night with my pup thowing up. Upon inspection it was clear she had eaten some kind of rodent (a baby bunny, or rat). Unfortunately, our kitties will sometime kill creatures and leave them behind bushes. Our puppy is normally very vivacious but the next morning she had diarrhea, was difficult to arouse and extremely listless. Would not eat or drink water. I was worried that she could have secondary poisoning or bones in her system. I called our vet and decided to take her into URGENT care. The vet checked vitals, did blood work, x-ray and determined she would be ok, gave her some med prescribed meds for inflammation and her tummy. I submitted the claim; a little worried that insurance would not pay as I did not call Embrace ahead to get advice but they paid a good portion of the entire bill and follow up. I was very happy with the outcome. Great communication and expedient reimbursement for the claim.

Veterinarian referral of the company

Embrace responded and provided my refund quickly. I provided detailed information on my claim which helped me expedite my claim. This company is professional, polite and more than willing to assist me. My veterinarian has her own animals covered with Embrace and recommended I do the same.

44% YOY premium increase

The fact they think they can justify raising my premium 44% YOY is unheard of. They want us to be ok with how spending 4k a year for a max return of $2500 is worth it. This is hands down the worst pet insurance company I've dealt with and the fact your they more than double your premium as your peta gets older, the time when they need it the most, shows you where their real priorities are.

Add me to the growing list of customers…

Add me to the growing list of customers who are unhappy with the major rate increase and VERY low or no approved payments when you submit a claim. I have canceled my coverage as a result.

They denied every claim I submitted…

They denied every claim I submitted claiming it was a pre- existing condition- when it was not. ASPCA wouldn’t even cover the euthanasia for my dog who ended up having cancer. Initially, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and only after multiple vet visits did they determine it was lung cancer. The denied my vet visit claim and his end of life care. I paid hundreds and hundreds of dollars for absolutely nothing. I’ve signed my other dogs up for a different insurance. I wouldn’t trust them to honor any claims moving forward.
