Don’t Waste Your Money…
I have spent over $1500 in one year on this pet insurance, and they have not given me one cent back for my dogs vet bills. I’m canceling my coverage today. This last claim was the last straw. This insurance may be worth it if your dog was injured in a car accident or had cancer, but absolutely NOT for the 90% of pets that lead an overall healthy life. Goodbye!!! Not taking another cent from me!

So, I've been paying for this insurance. They "promise" to take care of your pets. But it's the opposite. They're the lackies of the the fucked up vets. Forcing people with no money to pay way more, be in debt and get nothing for it but having to work harder and spend more time away from my pets. They don't do anything. They literally keep you on hold for hours constantly telling you your call matters and we'll transfer you to the next available agent. Newsflash. There are no agents. They take the money and put in 0 effort. It's absolutely despicable. Don't get this pet insurance. They will tell you ALL your claims can't be reimbursed and they'll send you a dumbass email saying here's our EOB. It's a fucking card with descriptions. It literally tells you nothing. I'll go deeper in debt for anyone who'll sue them for me.

Nothing but the best. Saw reviews where folks claimed they waited forever. Not so in our case. Always paid within 1-2 day of electronic submission of claim. We have carried pet insurance for many years. Had good experience with other carriers, but Nationwide our previous carrier has cut back on coverage and gone way up in price. So far, more than satisfied with MetLife. Other than asking for SOAP notes we don't have to bother our vet with claim forms. Was surprised to see that some items not covered by other insurers are covered by MetLife.
Ill informed customer service
I was told over a year ago that my monthly laser treatments for my old dogs arthritis would not be covered I still continue as I could see it benefit her. I come to find out it would have been covered all this time! I was also told a year ago that the lower back issue my other dog would not be covered but as a good pet parent continue out of pocket to have him also treated. I come to find out now that this too would have been covered after his issues have become chronic and needed to see a specialist. The customer service people need better education and maybe provide a list of what is covered to insurance holders. I’m upset that all the money I put out for insurance and only come to find out now that I could have put in claims all this time. It was implied to only use the insurance for emergencies. Which I have done! Makes me not happy with the company.
