$130 a month to deny every claim
$130 a month to deny every claim citing an unrelated condition. And not honoring their “preexisting condition” policy, claiming that schistosomiasis is not a curable disease despite being provided peer reviewed research and letters from veterinarians explaining that this is incorrect.

Annual increase from $90/month to $249/month
I've used and appreciated Healthy Paws for my (now senior) dog (aged 12) since 2016. Every year they've had to increase rates slightly; I understand, the cost of care increases, etc. Today I got an email they're increasing my monthly cost from $90.63 to $249.87 - a 2.75x increase. While previously they've offered to adjust your annual deductible or reimbursement percentage to help you find a monthly cost that works for you, they've throttled the options available so the lowest this can get is $201/month. An absolute RACKET. Everyone would be better off putting $90 (or whatever you can afford) into a high yield savings account every month.

One less worry
Our beautiful 3 1/2 yr old boy was diagnosed with nasal osteosarcoma after a horrific nosebleed. Alleviating financial worries over care expenses has made it so much easier to choose the best care options for Taz.

Felt protected — until pup got sick
We chose Fetch because it promised peace of mind. For years, we paid our premiums without issue. But after our dog was diagnosed with a chronic condition and we submitted a large claim, our coverage was downgraded at renewal—with no option to keep the plan we originally signed up for, even if we were willing to pay more. Now we’re left trying to afford ongoing medical care for a condition we assumed would be covered for the life of our pet. We can’t switch insurers because of pre-existing condition exclusions, so we’re essentially trapped with reduced coverage and rising costs. Fetch may offer decent coverage when your pet is healthy—but if your dog actually needs long-term care, don’t assume your plan will stay the same. I would advise anyone considering them to read the fine print carefully and ask specific questions about how renewal decisions are made.

Life saver
We've had two pets covered by Embrace for nearly a decade. We have never had an issue making claims or getting reimbursements. I have also seen the app and website evolve over time to make it super easy to upload claim information. They are a compassionate and caring company, and I could not imagine dealing with our pets medical issues without their help.
