Happy Cat Owner in Florida
I continue to be impressed by the easinest to submit a claim with your Company. From start to finish , you are so transparent that you know just where you stand with your claim. I love the communications I receive from you! All questions are answered. And, your claim check or deposit is received shortly thereafter. I highly recommend Trupanion to all pet owners!

Just good to have a back-up resource!
Yes, I always recommend Trupanion to friend getting new pets. Not much to say about this recent submission, which was a test of my cat’s stool which was soft and smelly. The stool sample came back as negative for parasites. Whatever it was passed, and the next day my cat was back to normal. The claim for the test was rejected by Trupanion, but I had the vet submit anyway just in case it turned out to be a problem that needed treatment. So far, both my cats are pretty healthy. I advocate for pet insurance because when cats & dogs get older they usually need expensive medical treatments. I am hoping that Trupanion will help blunt such expenses when my cats are elderly.

Practical reasons
I decided to buy this insurance for catastrophic coverage because I cannot afford your lower deductibles. Hopefully, with this coverage, I will never have to make the decision for my pet's life or healthcare based on affordability of care.

Best insurance ever
This pet insurance is the best! They give you many options to choose from for deductibles and coverage percentages to customize what works best for you and your pets. Not only do they cover just about EVERYTHING minus the vet visit cost but they're super fast with reviewing claims and reimbursement payments. Because of healthy paws, I'm able to give my dog the best vet care which has drastically saved her life on many occasions. My dog kona was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 9/2020 which cost about 5 grand. And had two abdominal surgeries back to back each costing around 8 grand. Healthy paws covered 70% of it all!!!! Minus the deductible for the year. Without them, I would not have been able to afford extending konas life during these emergency situations. Please use this company you won't regret!

Refuse to pay first claim
Healthy Paws has Refused to payout on the literal first claim in two years my pet has been insured with them. They claimed my pet didn’t have any medical records on file (which is a joke considering the hospital faxed them records the same day my pup got hurt) it is now ten days later and I haven’t heard anything OR gotten the direct deposit they claim to give folks so I decided to call in.
Today 7/12 I spoke to Sharon (who is supposedly a manager) she was the most rude and unprofessional person I have ever spoken to in customer service. She got huffy and so immature when I reminder her that I PAID for this policy and coverage. She also finally admitted that they’ve had the records from the hospital since the 5th.
I wish I had known two years ago that they wouldn’t pay up for claims before spending thousands on that policy over the years. STAY FAR AWAY from these fraudulent people. They don’t care about you or your money OR your pets!
Also here’s something I find super sketchy now that I’m researching other pet insurances: They don’t accept prepayment or annual pay because they want to hike up your rates with no warning (during a PANDEMIC TOO)

Smooth sailing with the claim process
Trupanion staff helped me throughout the process - To ensure I did everything correctly, I was literally chatting with them on IM while my cat was being treated for urgent symptoms. Everything they confirmed on this chat was accurate and something I could easily follow going forward. In each step of the way, they were also making sure my cat was recovering which I thought was adorable. The claim process was easy and fast. I especially appreciated the updates via txt message. This made the process transparent to me and left no questions. Would recommend Trupanion for pet insurance!

Horrible service 30+ days and nothing
STAY AWAY HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!Save your money and go with Nationwide or a bigger company. I paid for my dogs insurance for months, submitted a claim and it wasn’t even looked at 30 days later. Not one email from pets best nothing at all just the same status as the very first day i submitted it. They won’t reimburse anything and tell you it’s a staffing shortage issue.
