I have had pretty much only positive experiences with Trupanion though I have no other pet insurance experience so I didn't feel a 9/10 rating was completely accurate.

I have found the claims to be paid in a timely manner; rarely is the process difficult and my dog has multiple life threatening conditions. The staff is always available and follow up to questions and concerns are promptly addressed.
I have enjoyed the responsiveness of the chat function but I will hold off on actually recommending Trupanion until I see that they reimburse me for my claim.

I have been with Trupanion for many years. Overall my experience has been very positive and I have no complaints. Vet costs can mount very quickly in the event of a major illness and pet insurance can help provide care that might not otherwise be possible.
