When my pet policy renewal doubled in price, I called Embrace to cancel. Clementine heard me out, found a rate more in line with what we are paying now and voila! I renewed. 5 stars to Clementine in customer service.

1) We had such a hard time adjusting our billing information after our bank account was hacked. What should have been a relatively easy fix resulted in an unexpected amount of money being drawn out. I’m sure that occurred because your customer service reps do not speak very good English, sorry to say. 2) One if our claims has been tied up for an excessive amount of time because more information was needed even after sending an itemized receipt. There was a note stating our vet’s office had been contacted and yet the claim sat for weeks in the same status until my husband called and insisted the vet be called for clarification while he waited on the line.

Be mindful of the rehab rider
I love Trupanion! However the rehabilitation rider wasn’t clearly communicated to me other than in one email and there is no way to add it after 30 days. I find that practice to be predatory and unfair. There should be a way to add it at a higher premium or a way to appeal and pay back premiums to add the coverage. Everything else has been great so far.
