I ask my vet after having g a rescue dog about pet insurance…. Since I’ve had dogs all my life and now 80 years old I know the cats can be expensive so she suggest “spot “ I layer applied and so glad I did cause months later my vet was very expect being Iam retied now .. you can call anytime and information you need the paid there portion of bill as soon as I submitted mine .. “happy wife happy pet”

I can't speak for other nationwide services but I am very impressed by their Pet insurance program. Very good value, and a very clear description from their representative of what the service covers. The website design is simple as well and gives me just the information I need and want.

Love Trupanion!
I was already a Trupanion member for my Yorkie, Tuff. I just adopted a new family member (Sunny Joy the Chihuahua) and added her to our account. The process was so easy. I have been with Trupanion for 12 years, and highly recommend to all pet owners!

Knowledgeable, Patient and Human
The man that I spoke to was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. He explained everything throughly. He was very personable. I Loved the fact that a human being answered the phone and I didn't have to go through some automated questions.

Customer Service is still Alive!
Unfortunately, I didn't use very long not even quite a year. It was nice to know I had pet insurance in case anything happened. When it did, I had to file 2 claims they had a quick turnaround. Also, I was very touched that they called me when they saw that my dog died to see how I was doing. I didn't know that type of customer service still exists. I will use again when I am ready to be a pet parent again!
