The most horrible pet insurance out there over seven years paying are seniors and they never had any intention on paying
We are seniors have paid top dollar for our pet since we have got him to make sure we had pet insurance ..You have taken our money for over 7 years with never intending to ever except a claim for our dog .To us that is fraud and a scam you should have told us 7 years ago you would be doing this ..We would have saved our very limited money .Shame on you and your company .You should be sued for stealing money from seniors knowing you are never going to except a claim ..I will for sure be social media and telling whoever with listen and TV how you operate ..You scam us seniors for sure for alot of money ..
10/10. Can not say enough. I was hesitant about getting pet insurance but I’m so glad I did. I know Shepherd’s have bad hips so that altered my decision. I expected my dogs hips to go around seven but I was surprised that his knee was actually torn since four years old. Healthy paws has been truly amazing. No hassle. Fast reimbursement. I’m telling everyone I know.
My pet had diarrea 4x in one nite from nothing eaten that was out of the ordinary, & in the morning she had it again along with vomiting. I visited my Vet and she performed multiple tests along with an ultrasound, leading to several prescriptions, including a special RX diet & a probiotic supplement. Now I find out PB doesnt cover any RX diets or supplements, RX or not. So out of a $1200 bill, PB sent me a check for $300, $500 of which was my deductible. I think I should have received $600-$700 back. Yes it is my first experience with PB, but they seem to NOT cover more than they cover. It took well over 4 weeks to receive reimbursement and 2 weeks to even hear back after filing. Considering the claim was thru email, thats way too long to wait for a response to a claim.
Toast's little knee gave out and her vet confirmed that she needed surgery. We were able to go to a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and get the proper procedures—an MPL and a TPLO—quickly enough to (hopefully) protect the other leggy and get her good as new once she heals. Money is tight and Toast ended up having worse health than expected (the shelter said she was perfectly healthy; I thought I was getting pet insurance just so we'd have it when she was older. I never expected to use it in the first year). I don't know how I could have possibly afforded her care without Trupanion. I'm so grateful. Every pet parent should have some kind of coverage.
My dog is my baby and my baby is a breed that is apparently more susceptible to a rare bacteria. There is absolutely no way I could have afforded to investigate and ultimately find the reason for her Illness without Trupanion. We have more of a road ahead, but she has a better chance now and i can sleep much easier knowing that if a big cost hits us again, Trupanion will be there to help. I’m so incredibly grateful for them giving me more time with my fur baby! If you are even remotely considering insurance You are nuts not to choose Trupanion!
Healthy Paws is such a great choice! Our kitten Apricot was suddenly diagnosed with advanced and aggressive lymphoma. Thank goodness we had a Healthy Paws policy that made our decisions easier, focusing on his welfare. Submitting claims is so easy, I can do it from my phone. They process claims very quickly with an easy to understand explanation of benefits. Highly recommend Healthy Paws!
Healthy Paws is easy to use and has been a lifesaver
As a type A pet parent and graduate student, I knew pretty early on that I wanted to get my puppy an insurance plan. I activated the insurance the day that I got her, and here we are, almost a year later, and it has paid for itself. When my puppy started having some chronic GI tract issues, we were confident that we could get whatever tests and medical help she needed because she was insured. Healthy Paws' mobile claim entry is so easy to use; just take a picture, and press submit. Eventually, we had to get a referral to a University Veterinary Center, as we couldn't really figure out what was going on. I was worried at first about the expense, but knowing that I could use Healthy Paws reassured me that we could do whatever we needed to for our puppy's health. She is doing a lot better now, and I thank my lucky stars that we invested in Healthy Paws early on.
We received a one month policy from Met Life when we rescued our Golden last year. It made sense to continue the coverage so a one year policy was purchased. Thankfully we've only had to file a claim once, but the peace of mind the coverage offers is real value. The claim process was easy and all the data was sent electronically making it so simple. I had a question about the process and customer service was professional and extremely helpful.
