Super easy to place and upload claim with a quick response. I have been with them for over a year and happy so far. They did raise the fee for my lab this year, which was a surprise as its already pricey!

Disappointing Experience with Metlife
I’ve been paying over $120 a month for insurance on my two dogs, and unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly disappointing. My dog, Emmie, has had some mild itching, and when I submitted a claim, I was told it was considered a pre-existing condition due to “year-round” itching. However, I explained that this was caused by a shampoo issue with her groomer, and after changing shampoos, the problem cleared up. I called and did an appeal, and even had the vet write a letter explaining that there was no diagnosis of a skin condition and that this should not be considered a pre-existing issue. Despite all this, they still denied the claim. They did pay for her food at first but then reprocessed the claim after I asked why they weren't covering her allergy medication—and ended up denying the food too. It’s incredibly frustrating to have to jump through so many hoops when there’s no diagnosis or prior condition. We even submitted records that showed Emmie has a clean and shiny coat, and nothing was ever diagnosed. I’m now working on my second appeal, but I shouldn’t have to do this. It feels like they are looking for any reason to deny claims, and it’s making me seriously consider canceling the policy. I should be able to trust that the insurance I’m paying for will be there when I need it, but that has not been the case. I do not recommend this insurance company based on my experience.

I cannot recommend Healthy Paws Insurance enough! Based on my personal experience, they are hands down the best pet insurance out there. What really stands out is how fast they process claims – often accepting them in less than 2 days! This level of efficiency is a huge relief, especially when you're dealing with the stress of pet emergencies. Their coverage is absolutely top-notch. With my 90% coverage plan, I've saved so much on vet bills, especially after multiple ER incidents with my dog. Pet care can get incredibly expensive, but Healthy Paws has made it so much more manageable. The peace of mind I get knowing that I’m covered when unexpected things happen is priceless. "I had my dog spayed and microchipped along with a rabies vaccine. The entire bill wasn't covered — but I expected that because I knew the limitations of the policy. But I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of making a claim and the speed of review. The reimbursement cuts my recent bills by more than half! All in all, I was reimbursed virtually the entire cost of the premium!
I love these guys
I’ll keep it short. Enrolled my boy at five months old, he’s now almost 7. In his short life he’s had two ER visits and a lifetime of asthma, requiring not-cheap meds. Healthy Paws has completely lived up to their promises. Of the $3300 I’ve put into ER visits I’ve gotten my covered 90% back without questions, and my boy’s asthma meds, which these days cost me $175 every two months, are 90% reimbursed after my deductible, again, no questions asked. The best part - I’ve not had a single claim take more than 24 hours to be approved and I get my direct deposited reimbursement the next day. After 6 years I’m so far ahead they’ll be in effect paying my premiums for another few years before they will sniff making a profit from me. Bad for them, good for me. I can’t describe how not worrying about the cost of vet visits for illness or injury is much less stressful knowing I’ve got these guys behind me. Having an unhappy critter is bad enough. These guys take the financial stress completely away.
