Simply the Best!

Simply the Best! I lost a dog to cancer many years ago and his care cost us our savings. Fetch not only brings me piece of mind but when our puppy was sick, the process was super easy. I wish my own health insurance was as easy.

Services covered for my Biscuit

Services covered for my Biscuit, except 9/2024 appointment vet for a serious new change in condition of neurological change, weakness, tremors, ataxia, fell over, shaking. Was told does not cover this condition. This was wrong and should have been covered!!

Healthy paws increased my pet insurance…

Healthy paws increased my pet insurance by 212%. They would have charged me $7200 per year for coverage. They said they sent me notice, which I never saw! When I called to complain, they refuse to reimburse me one I noticed the increase. Their own customer supervisor, Jennifer, admitted that the increase was “outrageous.” Any pet owner who should know that healthy paws uses a “negative option” scheme, where the owner needs to directly cancel the policy. Healthy paws is a horrible and unconscionable company. Pet owners beware!

They are efficient, but reimbursement rates are far from actual costs

They are efficient. I do regret that they don't reimburse more for the actual cost of routine pet care. Cost of routine care is high, but is presumably cheaper than paying out for big problems that could be prevented. A 200$ lab panel reimbursed at 50$ is not all that helpful.

Customer care first call

I want to make clear that this is a review based solely on my first interaction with customer care. This is the first time we’ve purchased insurance for our pets. Having worked years in the veterinary field and also having animals of our own has made me realize just how important having our fur babies insured is. I had some questions that were a little confusing about the initial appointments that were needed to ensure their coverage wasn’t interrupted or questioned. I had gotten several emails regarding the initial visit for our three dogs. They all have been seen within the last 12 months and I wasn’t sure if the records from all of those visits were sufficient or if they needed new appointments specifically for insurance purposes. The lady I spoke to was so helpful and kind. She explained that the day before our waiting period is over they will contact my pups DVM and request the records for themselves. That they wouldn’t need new appointments unless they hadn’t been seen within the last 12 months or there was an issue in which case they’d reach out to me and try to clarify before having them seen. She was incredibly sweet and answered all my questions in a way that was easy to comprehend and didn’t leave me with more questions. We’ll see how everything works out when I may need to file a claim or have interactions aside from today. I appreciate reviews by others and love leaving them too. So there will be more in the future. Good or bad, I love that there’s a place to share with others about experiences so we can make sure we’re doing what’s best and giving what’s best to our furry family members. So far so good embrace!

Our Lucy is a big girl

Our Lucy is a big girl, a St. Bernard, at 160 pounds and when she is not keeping her food down for more than a day it's a big deal. We took her to the vet and learned she needed an X-ray of her belly. We were lucky, it wasn't a blockage but I felt very happy that we had pet insurance behind us if it had. Thank you Embrace!
