MY DOG, RAVEN AND I..FOREVER GRATEFUL~!!!!
I PURCHASED THIS INSURANCE JUST WEEKS AFTER I ADOPTED MY LAB.
SOMETIMES I WONDERED AS I PAID THE PREMIUMS EACH MONTH AND HAD SUCH A HEALTHY DOG--.
LITTLE DID I KNOW HOW GRATEFUL I AM AND HAVE BEEN AS SHE IS OLD, HAS CUSHING'S DISEASE, SEVERE OSTEOARTITIS AND NOW COGNITIVE CANINE DYSFUNCTION.
SHE IS MY ONLY FAMILY AND I AM NOT SURE I COULD DO RIGHT BY HER WITHOUT YOU.

We have had two German Shepherds since they were pups, who are in relatively good health, but have had their share of health problems. We're so glad we purchased policies for them right from the start because we have assurance that we will be able to provide the care they need without breaking our bank. Trupanion is easy to submit claims, very quick to process claims, and is available to answer any questions.
Easy to submit claims, but PRICE HIKES are too much
I left a 10/10 review recently for Healthy Paws because it was easy to submit the claim for my dog's TPLO surgery (after he tore his knees/ACL in an accident), and pretty easy to get payment. But less than a month from that claim, I got an email saying that my monthly premium has gone up 50% - now at over $270 per month. They say premiums do not go up because of claims, but it feels suspect. I reached out to ask, and the generic reason they gave was that overall pet owners have been submitting more claims, they're paying more out, and now they have to increase prices. My dog's only 6...I can't even imagine how much premium they'll try to charge by the time he's an elderly dog.
I don't believe that there is another pet insurance company that could do as well as Healthy Paws. They are quick, efficient, and helpful. They make submitting a claim an easy process. They are committed to their customers and the high quality of their service.
Amazing company that consistently performs incredibly
I have two German Shepherds that Healthy Paws has insured since they were puppies. I cannot say enough positive things about Healthy Paws. When one of my dogs came down with cancer, Healthy Paws paid for his surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. There was never any problem in receiving reimbursement and they always paid within a few days of receiving my bills. My other dog has back problems, and, again, Healthy Paws stepped up 100%. He receives regular acupuncture treatments which the company promptly reimburses within a few days of submission. I use the electronic submission which makes the whole process incredibly easy. I have recommended Healthy Paws to all of my friends !
I received the following email after fifteen business days from my original claim. They are now telling me it will be a MINIMUM OF 30 BUSINESS DAYS BEFORE THEY ANSWER MY CLAIM. THEY ARE THE WORST.
We have received medical records for Harry and they are in line for review.
Harry's medical records could be reviewed for several reasons, including:
You've requested a medical history review
You've submitted your first accident or illness claim
Harry has a claim pending medical history for a specific date of service
We are updating a temporary pre-existing condition on Harry's policy
Once the medical records are reviewed, pending claims can be processed and medical history reviews can be completed. This process can take up to 30 business days once we've collected all necessary medical records, and it is likely you will not receive any updates during this time.
Please note that if our team finds that we are missing medical history or the records we receive are summary/vaccine records only, this will delay the review and/or claim. Please be sure to let us know which practice(s) Harry has visited in the 12 months before you purchased your policy.
Medical records can be emailed to email@example.com, submitted via your MyEmbrace customer account, or faxed to (800) 238-1042. Feel free to contact us if our requested time frame has been exceeded.
