Some of the great coverage benefits we have enjoyed for our 10-years of coverage is yearly, not per occurrence deductible amounts, coverage reimbursement levels to 90%, and no annual or lifetime caps on benefits to name a few. The claim process is amazing, you don’t even need a claim form, just send in the Vet’s invoice! Our pet’s claims are processed, paid, and a check received in 5-7 business days! We have had our share of claims over the years from small illnesses to major surgery, and a permanent lifelong illness, and thankfully Healthy Paws has been by our side supporting us all the way. After all, you never know how good your insurance company is until you have a claim! Great service, Prompt payment... Exactly what you want in an insurer!
I couldn't be happier with the service I have received from Nationwide. I have a 10mo old Lab Puppy, who tries to get into everything that is not bolted down to the floor! He had to go into the Puppy ER for an intestinal blockage, and it was so comforting that all I had to worry about was getting him better, not worrying about how much is this and that going to cost! SO worth the monthly premium cost!

There's no reason not to take your pet to the vet if you have insurance.
After having a dog with orthopedic issues, two life-threatening immune-mediated illnesses, and finally cancer, I know all too well how vet bills can pile up and how cost can play a role in whether or not owners pursue treatment, let alone go to the veterinarian in the first place. When we got a new puppy, we didn't hesitate a moment and signed him up for insurance immediately. He's just a year old now, but with just a couple of trips for routine issues (URI and an small injury) we met our deductible. When he started showing signs of lameness, we waited a bit and then took him in for an appointment. That's why we have insurance--so we don't have to hesitate when an issue calls for attention. It turns out that our boy likely has some orthopedic issues and will need some special care. You'll always worry about taking the best care of your fur babies, but having insurance takes away the financial worries. Submitting a claim is easy and hassle free, and reimbursements come quickly

Easy claim process
I filed a claim after seeing the vet for a skin infection on my dog. It was extremely easy to fill out the form, upload a picture of our vet bill and wait for the explanation of benefits to process. I've used other companies in the past with other animals and Nationwide is by far the easiest process.

Thank goodness for Nationwide!
My dachshund woke up one morning unable to move her back legs. We rushed her to the vet who immediately sent us to a neurosurgeon. Her disc had ruptured putting pressure on her spinal chord and blocking the signals to her back legs. They were able to do the surgery immediately which I wouldn’t have been able to afford without Nationwide insurance. It was the best decision I ever made to get their whole pet and wellness plan .
