Reliable service and quick payment

Our English Bulldog has suffered from periodic urinary tract infections. In the past, Trupanion has had payment sent for the medicine within a week of receiving my claim. This time our vet wanted to take X-rays to make sure there were no stones formed. Trupanion handled the claim exactly the same - great communication that the claim was received and followup communication that the payment was mailed. I have no complaints with this company's service!

Excellent service

Molli had major surgery needing to use a bone saw to cut a V shape groove in her bone on both her back legs for her ligaments, etc to stay in place. The surgery was over 3000.00 and once we paid our deductible amount which is chosen buy us for her policy. Trupanion within 24 hours paid 90% of everything. Molli is doing well and will be completely healed in four months. Trupanion has continued to follow Molli and check up on her.

Puppy insurance is a good idea.

After our 4 month old Sheltie puppy moved a box of mouse poison in the garage and had an expensive trip to the Emergency Vet Center on a weekend for preventive treatment, we decided to buy pet accident/illness insurance for her. I am now glad we did. About 2 months ago she began limping and, after extensive and expensive tests, our vet is still uncertain what is wrong with her. It has been great to have pet insurance to reimburse our expenses for her. I am happy with the service we've received so far for our young dog. My chief complaint is that the insurance company uses a "reasonable and customary charge" limit to calculate payment of claims. This information is not accessible to customers or pet professionals so submitting claims is kind of a shot in the dark as far as anticipated reimbursement. We have not always had our claims paid as we thought they should be because of this. I think pet owners should carefully research insurance companies and policies before deciding to purchase coverage for their pets.

Great Customer Service

I have 2 dogs under this co. The CS is awesome. If you have a question, they'll email you back ASAP. Usually within minutes. They have worked with us when we were behind payments. They let you know when a claim is bring processed. My only two complaints are dental (regular updates) aren't included...and the claim refunds take a little time to actually get back to you, as well as pre-approvals.... Otherwise they are great!

So grateful for Healthy Paws and our healthy dog

When our 2-year-old collie mix Niles got sick, the last thing we wanted to think about was finances. We just wanted to do everything we could to make sure he got the best care possible - which unfortunately meant a night in the hospital. We were lucky to get good news the next morning, and within a couple days Niles had made a full recovery. Healthy Paws covered more than 90% of our bills! Knowing we had that kind of support was a huge comfort and allowed us to focus on our dog instead of our bank account when it mattered most.

Petsbest Stepped Up

Four years ago, a little Siamese was found wandering the streets in a local Long Island community. Knowing that I was partial to Siamese, a local rescue group asked me to "foster" her. You can guess how temporary that turned out to be. A sweeter, more fearless, more cuddly little girl I had yet to find. She stepped into the very large pawprints left by the loss of my 17 year old Bluepoint Siamese. Then suddenly, tragically, she was gone, the victim of a 100% fatal illness called FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). Although I had heard of this disease, I had never encountered it in my decades of cat ownership, believing that it was limited to hoarders, shelters or stray cat populations. I've since learned that thousands of seemingly healthy cats, some from breeders, others not, have fallen prey to this courge. In the blink of an eye, less than three weeks, the eager-eating, in-your-face, social butterfly was a ravaged shell. I helped her to cross the Rainbow Bridge a week ago. I've had pet insurance for years on all of my pets, hoping that I would never have anything catastrohic enough to use it. I would like to thank Petsbest for making reimbursement of my vet bills nearly seamless. Within a day of filing a claim, I received an acknowledgment and notification of process; within a week of filing each claim, I had a check in the mail. No amount can ever compensate for the heartbreak of this loss. However, knowing that my pet insurance company could be relied
