Service was accurate and timely. We are a satisfied customer, and would recommend Trupanion Insurance for any pet. Medical bills can be very expensive, and Insurance is worth having.

Very useful for our young dog.
We got Trupanion for our dog Wendy as a puppy. She is two years old and had a lot of unexpected health issues this year. Without our Trupanion coverage we would not have been able to afford her treatment ($15000+ in the span of 8 months), and would have had to make a tough decision. The deductibles tax and exam fees are still expensive and out of pocket, but Trupanion has made treatment possible. So far there has not been any increase in our monthly payments, I am hoping that it stays that way. We also have coverage for our other dog, who thankfully so far has not had any issues.

Very expensive for small return on claims. They also use the pandemic for having little customer service available. It's called have people work from home.

Too many exclusions
The good: Trupanion has accepted every claim I’ve ever made and paid out most of my vet bills. The bad: there are too many excluded items. I expected a deductible and copay, but they also don’t pay taxes, an additional 13% in my jurisdiction. And their exclusion of examination fees isn’t just about routine exams. When my dog was diagnosed with cancer, they refused to pay for the consultation with an oncologist and even the fee for the surgeon.

Excellent Service For Our Pup!
We have been with Healthy Paws since our french bulldog was 4 months old, and we can't thank their service enough. When she has had issues, we have peace of mind knowing that we can rush her to an emergency vet and we won't end up in debt because of it. Bulldogs especially are known for being problematic (and just eating all the things), so having this type of peace of mind that we can help our pup in nearly any situation is worth so much. Trupanion if a lifesaver!
I cannot say enough great things about Trupanion pet insurance. Our big boy, Cooper (107lb), Yellow English Lab has just had his second TPLO surgery, a year apart from first, and without having him covered I don’t know how we could have possibly afforded (nearly $10k). Trupanion covers 90% after deductible as well as all medications too. Claims are simply to file online and paid quickly direct deposited into our bank acct. I recommend them highly to you and all my family and friends; we would only use them! Thank you Trupanion!

We are waiting of for our claims to be processed, but we received excellent customer service from one of your employees!!!!
So in the past month we have had to submit numerous claims for our dog. Our claims are still being processed and it had taken a bit longer than usual. I called today to inquire and get an update on my claims. I had the pleasure of speaking with Nancy from your customer service department. Nancy explained that due to Covid and also more pet adoptions, that claims are taking longer than usual. Nancy was very well spoken and answered all my questions. I was very impressed that she took the time to answer all my questions and even put me on hold to speak with her supervisor to get me accurate information. I am very appreciative of her patience, empathy for my pet, knowledge, and willingness to spend time finding the answers to my questions/concerns. I could only wish that all my experiences with customer service departments(in various companies) could be as good as my experience was today. Please cherish this employee and recognize her for going above and beyond to help your customers!!!
