Horrible coverage!!!!

Not sure how the high ratings made this site. Just submitted a claim for $275 for all covered services and they paid $35. Terrible coverage. Don't waste your money.

What a Lifesaver!

Our dog Frisco had a recent bad run of events that left us with significant vet bills. My husband in unemployed and we are living off of a single income making ends meet. Thank god for the pet insurance, it has been a lifesaver! It was tough to take on the vet bills but working with a great company like Embrace helped to ease the pain. We have always been able to get ahold of someone when we had a question and they are wonderful at emailing confirmations and explanation of benefits for all the claims we submitted. If only our personal health insurance was so clear! Thanks Embrace for offering such wonderful service to help us take care of our furry family members, I recommed them to everyone we meet! The 9/10 was just because our first claim took 15 days and a phone call to follow up to get processed...but when they did, they took care of all of our claims at once, even one we just submitted a few days ago!

Pets Best Has Been a Lifesaver for Hannah

I am a retired teacher and also have a part time job. I have two cocker spaniels Hannah and Gabriel - they are my children. Since my income is limited now, my boss jokingly mentioned that I should have insurance on my cockers. She had a point though, so I started checking into it. My first choice was VPI, but they no longer issued policies for dogs over 10. Hannah, my oldest, just turned 10. So I had to keep searching. I am a big fan of Dr. Shawn Messonnier, DVM. While I was searching his website for information oneday, I noticed he highly recommended Pets Best Insurance. If he recommended it, then it had to be good. I got policies for both Hannah and Gabriel. Neither one of them have ever had any serious health issues until December 2009. I came home from work one afternoon to take them both outside and Hannah didn't seem to want to get up. I helped her up and she started crying, so I knew something was wrong. I thought maybe she hurt her leg, but when I got her to the vet, it was determined that she had a back problem. My vet wanted to keep her for about a week and treat her with dexamethasone injections. The week had gone by and I called on that Saturday thinking I was going to be able to take her home. That was not the news I heard. I was told she collapsed - her red blood count and platelet level dropped drastically low. She was diagnosed with Autoimmune Anemia and Thrombocytopenia. She was given a blood transfusion and high doses of Prednisone an

Great Rates & Amazing Coverage

My dog Stoli is a French Bulldog, and he is just over one year old. I had a friend who told me that pet insurance was a waste of money because of all the fine print. Then my mom has been at a specialist recently spending lots of money on her dog's healthcare. She noted that several clients had pet insurance, so I had her ask which was the best. The specialist recommended ASPCA. I looked into the coverage (and the fine print), made a phone call to clarify some questions and purchased level 3 coverage for Stoli. I couldn't be happier with the coverage, and I would recommend it to anyone who may be thinking about pet insurance!!

Dependable

Gee that's too bad about the denials. I have had 24 PetWatch for many years. I have had very good response to my dogs needs through cancers and heart disease and urinary tract problems and surgeries. We have had dogs sent flying to ER's for injuries and other horrible things. 24 PetWatch has always been there for us. We did have one episode that we thought should be covered, but with an adopted dog, an elderly one at that it was not. I am a great proponent for pet health insurance. Setting aside money is a nice thought but in today's world, often not very practical for your pets care. I would suggest not throwing the baby out with the bath water with this. Search out some other companies and make comparisons. There is an insurance company out there for you and your pets. JUST, keep them insured.

excellent pet insurance

My dog Sophie was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on her paw and I was told surgery and radiation(22 sessions) would be about $12,000.00. With pets best I am covered up to $7,000.00. I have been very happy with how fast they have reimbursed me for my expenses and also how kind they have been whenever I talked to them on the phone. I have recommended them to everyone I know who has a pet. They have been so helpful...better than my personal health insurance!

We have had a satisfactory experience with our fim

Our 8 year old Australian Terrier suffered a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament which our regular vet suggested that we should take the dog to an orthopedic specialist. Dr Sams is the only Board certified orthopod in our area. Although this probably cost more, the surgery went well and so far the recovery is progressing smoothly. Embrace Pet Insurance asked us to supply comprehensive documentation which the 2 vets were happy to provide. Once Embrace received this information our claim was handled promptly and entirely to our satisfaction.

50% Coverage for 100% Satisfaction

My cat pepper developed crystals in his urinary tract this past April 2011, which resulted in his inablitity to use his litter box and form blood in his urine. We took him to his veternarian who diagnosed the condition and then proceeded to treat him. Right away the first set of charges we were charded was i/a/o 2,221.06, and then we had to bring him back for further tests which amounted to 1,201.50 bringing our total costs to 3,422.56. Fortunately, pepper made a full recovery from his illness and is back to all his crazy antics. I submitted my claim to ASPCA and received a check i/a/o 1,739.58 under his insurance coverage. We were so grateful to have ASPCA Pet Insurance which helped pay for most of the vet bills. There was some delay in the claim process that required me having to make several calls and resubmissions of all my documentation, however the overall experience was great. The representatives on the phone were very courteious and professional. Being the first time that I had to use my insurance coverage for pepper I would say "50% Coverage for 100% Satisfaction."

ASPCA is necessary with todays expensive pet care

My toy poodle was attacked outside my back door by two of my neighbor's african hounds. Luckily, she was able to escape under my car to avoid fatal wounds. As it was I had to take her to the vet where she underwent an operation and was admitted to the pet hospital for a few days. Rather expensive, but ASPC paid 75% of my bill.

Didn't like it and I dropped it

I chose this pet plan over Trupanion (which I have for my other dogs and recommend *highly*) because I thought he might be at risk for hip displasia and they have some coverage for it. Also, he came with coverage from the shelter where I adopted him. He was 4 months old when adopted, and pretty healthy. Then I started looking into the policy -- ever increasing deductibles as the dog ages and up-front deductibles. My dog got into a porcupine and had quills removed in an emergency clinic. The bill was $468, and I got less than $100 back, because of the yearly deductible. (Compare this to Trupanion, where I would have gotten back 90% of all but the $65 vet fee.) That shocker, combined with the fact that the deductibles would increase as he ages, and the fact that he was pretty healthy, led me to cancel the insurance. And I'm glad I did. He tends to get into trouble about once a year, and the annual deductible would have kicked in each time. Anyway, I recommend Trupanion over this company.
