Gives me peace of mind!
I was on the fence when I purchased Nationwide insurance for my dog. Was it worth it? Would it be easy to use or a constant battle? Turns out, getting Nationwide Pet Insurance was one of the best decisions I have made. When I have needed them, Nationwide has been there. Claims have been easy to submit and the response time has been excellent. I finally have the peace of mind to know that if my best furry friend needs something, I can count on Nationwide to help me get it for him. Thank you!

Appreciate major medical & wellness plus program.
Excellent Pet Insurance and much better than Trupanion Insurance with previous pet. Had good experience with Nationwide with my businesses before retiring.

Healthy Paws let us focus on our sick dog without worrying about the cost of her care.
Our dog Seaver managed to ingest a toxin on a hike off-leash, she was vomiting and shaking, it was terrifying. We needed to get her medical attention immediately. We were quoted a price of $1800-$2600 from the hospital. Even with insurance, we weren't sure if most would be covered or if we'd have to wait a long time for reimbursement. I called our insurance company, Healthy Paws, on that Sunday and they assured me all would be fine. Seaver spent overnight at the hospital. It was a very nerve-wracking night but lucky for us she pulled through. Left with a $2600 bill on my credit card I submitted my claim online, to Healthy Paws. It was simple and within 2 days my claim was processed and I received a check in the mail 5 days later for the full amt. less $151.00 for the exam and my deductible. We could not be more grateful to the Healthy Paws team for their coverage and quick response to our dog's medical bills. If you are on the fence about getting insurance I highly recommend it and getting it through Healthy Paws. Vets are seeing more pets coming in each day after consuming marijuana or worse. This single event would have been detrimental to us financially. Having the peace of mind that we were able to get Seaver the best care during this very scary event was an absolute Godsend!

Healthy Paws Insurance allowed us to focus on getting our dog the care she needed and not how we would be able to pay for it.

Terrible experience with a claim after 6 years of wasted money
After over six years of paying for my pet insurance I had the need to file a claim of almost $1000 due to injury and they only reimbursed about $160, I thought it was a mistake and called customer service and they said there was indeed an error and reimbursed $14 dollars more...seriously? I thought it was a joke. They obviously don't care once the pet gets older and that way they can get rid of the pet once they start having issues. I wish I didn't wasted all that money for so many years. They use excuses not to pay 90% reimbursement minus deductible as promised. Consider other insurance such as Embrace who are more honest.

My dog is aging
As my dog ages, our visits to the vet, as well as the number of procedures, increases. It is so nice to not have to worry about the bills, as I worry about my pet. Nationwide has covered everything, including well-visits and needs, for 90%. Nail trimmings are the only item that has not been covered. We get to the deductible sooner and sooner each year. We didn't have insurance on our last dog, and we had an $8,000 emergency bill in one night. With Nationwide we have peace of mind that we'll be covered if we have this happen again. Thank you!

Everything great - for the most part.
Everything has been great with Nationawide. The only issue is they don't cover the Lepto vaccine for some reason, even though in Colorado pets need the vaccine to keep them healthy.
