A great choice!!

After telling everyone that I was getting an English bulldog there was one thing that I kept hearing...buy insurance! It isn't a 'if it will happen' it is a 'when it will happen'. After 2 years, I can say that it was the best investment I made (aside from Magnus himself) :-) He did get mange when he was a couple of months old that they didn't cover, but otherwise, it has been absolutely fantastic! And had I read all of the information prior to buying it I would have seen that the demodex falls under a category they don't pay for. I love knowing that I will never have to choose between what is in his best interest and whether or not I can afford it. When we bring home our french bulldog puppy in the next couple of months I can tell you the one thing he will have immediately...VPI!!

Absolutely beautiful!

I could not asked for a more speedy response. Wish all companies were as responsive. Thank you.

Healthy Paws had our back when we needed it most!

I have had a Healthy Paws policy for both of my cats, Diva and Dweezil, since May 2014. Recently, Diva started coughing chronically and, one day, started to breathe through her mouth. Anyone who's owned by a cat knows that this is a serious emergency. An oxygen chamber, four IVs, two steroids, and one very stressful night later, Diva was out of the ICU and back home with me (and several bottles of medication). She is on the mend now, but as anyone who loves a cat will understand, this has been a harrowing, stressful, awful experience emotionally. On top of that, the veterinary bills, prescription costs, and emergency room visit would have been a horrible burden. But Healthy Paws greatly alleviated that stress: they processed most of my claims practically within hours of submission, kept me well-informed of the status of each, and promptly sent me reimbursement checks once I had met my deductible. They even sent me kind emails checking up on Diva's health. I feel like she and I both received the highest level of individualized attention. To me, it shows that the people at Healthy Paws truly care about cats and dogs and genuinely want to make their lives better. In Diva's case, they have certainly succeeded.

Bridge over troubled water

When my 10 year old cat began behaving strangely, vomiting, constantly hungryy and hyperactive and the vet suspected thyroid problems which would have required either an upfront outlay of a good deal of money to diagnose and treat or that she be placed in thyroid medication for the rest of her life with constant blood test to monitor her condition ( resulting in greater expense in the long run) . Having this insurance gave me the ability to navigate the waters with a partner who had my back. In the end the scan ( contrary to the blood tests) revealed no thyroid problem and therefore no treatment necessary at this time. A change in diet was recommended. Thanks .

Peace of Mind

Never thought that when I applied for pet insurance from VPI 8 years ago, that it would be the best decision I would be making for my Golden Retriever, Riley. It's been about a year since Riley was first diagnosed with Fibrosarcoma, she had major surgery (removing part of her hip and left rear leg). She is now receiving Chemotherapy treatments which will hopefully allow her to remain a happy, healthy dog and family member. I've always wanted the best for Riley, from buying the best quality dog food, toys and now she is being treated by the best pet oncologist in the State. It would not be possible for Riley to receive this type of health care if it wasn't for VPI. Being able to receive partial reimbursements for Riley's medical bills from VPI' claim process has allowed me to aggressively continue my quest to provide Riley with the best life. It brings peace of mind that I can continue to do what is best for her. Thank you, VPI!

Woof ruff bow wow howl bay (best animal insurance)

I was a bad boy and gotten into my mommy's purse, by opening it up looking for something yummy to snack on...Instead, I found her Ventolin Inhaler and thought it was some weird treat..When I bit into it, it went off in my face and next thing I knew, my heart was beating really really fast. So fast It scared my mommy enough to call the Vet's office at 10pm. She rushed me in and I had to stay the night for 2 days without her. Turns out my heartbeat was at 220 bpm and I couldn't go home till it was 100 bpm. Thanks to Healthy Paws Insurance, they were able to help my mommy out after I was home with the Vet's bill. Now I am doing great, running around, playing with Coconuts and staying away from her purse. Woof Woof Ruff Ruff Healthy Paws Mommy here....It was very scary that my baby of little over 4 yrs Bloodhound/Black Lab names Stitch had this happen. Even worse that, that my Ventolin Inhaler could do that to him. For a 115 lb puppy, it was scary to feel his heartbeat feel like about to jump out of his chest. I am glad that the Vet's and Heathy Paws were and are here to help me. My insurance with them is 90% and $100...that was my choice...They even checked up on Stitch to see if he's ok that week from coming home and a week later to just make sure. Thanks again Healthy Paws

Amazing Insurance

Once again, trupanion has helped me with regular medication refills for my dog's permanant condition, and I am reimbursed 90% in less than a week directly in to my checking account. I continue to be amazed by Trupanion's coverage and don't know how I would take care of my fur- child without it!

Saved me a ton of money

I have a lovely young chow girl who had slipping kneecaps and moderate entropion, where the lower eyelids roll inward to scar the corneas. She also managed to stab her cornea with a tiny twig or rose thorn. Embrace has really come through for us. Hopefully from now on . . .her second birthday is in two weeks, she will be healthy. . . Except for the congenital cataract on the one eye! Embrace is worth every penny.
