Our 3 year old mastiff rescue injured her ACL and required surgery. I forwarded all the medical records and invoices to Healthy Paws. Within 10 days or so, we had our reimbursement check. I've had Healthy Paws for just over a year now. Prior to Healthy Paws, I had two other insurance companies I went through. Neither one was as easy to work with as Healthy Paws. The premium is very affordable and processing claims is so easy, no questions asked! Not only that, but the turn around rate for processing claims is amazingly fast!I currently have two young chocolate labs (1 and 2 years old). My Izzy has had several UTIs and Healthy Paws has allowed me to get the best care to help get this taken care of quickly. My younger pup, Bear, recently did what all pups do at some point; eat what they shouldn't! This resulted in a very expensive and intensive emergency surgery. Very happy to have Healthy Paws Pet Insurance for Sterling. It has helped financially and most importantly with his treatment to remove the clear cell apocrine ductular carcinoma on his left lateral thigh. He has recovered nicely from the surgery and we are hopeful that this excision will take care of any future tumors. We have been grateful for the handling of our claim and the follow-up from Healthy Paws on Sterling.

I am a veterinarian and would NOT recommend VPI to any pet owner. The Benefits schedule is very confusing to pet owners and does not provide adequate coverage. Go with a company that provides simple reimbursement plans. Recently I had to refer my own cat to a specialist for cancer. The VPI process was extremely frustrating and time consuming. A similar situation happen with my other cat that had a fever of unknown origin.
