I never thought I would ever write a positive, glowing review of an insurance company. But, Trupanion, much to their credit, is not typical of others in their industry. Now, any insurance firm is in business to make a profit and -- understandably -- wishes to retain as much of their clients' premium paying investment as possible. No argument there. However, some firms employ less than altogether ethical methods of hanging onto their funds. Trupanion is different. From the outset, we were treated in a fair, friendly and caring manner. Communication, established within minutes of claim filing, was frequent, warm and efficient. Claim settlement was very quick and just as contracted. Our experience with Trupanion was so good that I sometimes wonder if the company is actually the home-based enterprise of a philanthropic pet lover rather than a profit hungry business person. I recommend Trupanion highly and hope this endorsement will help them recruit more clients. Trupanion deserves to prosper!

Trupanion is so user-friendly and customer service oriented. Whether I deal with them online or over the phone, I have always been given excellent service.

My dog needed quite major surgery on both crutiate ligaments. I would not be able to afford it with out insurance. She is only 4 years old and I am so thankful.

Take the money you would put into this company and save it. Every time I've needed something in the past for my other dog, "it's not covered." We have a seven month old puppy that's going to die because they won't cover a liver shunt before a 12 month waiting period is up. I'll figure out a way to pay for this very expensive surgery, but in spite of the years of paying Pets Best insurance every month, it will be without their help. I cancelled my policy.

I adopted a rescued racing greyhound who was diagnosed with epilepsy. Taking on the lifelong management of such a chronic condition is a huge challenge. The fact that Dallas had Trupanion Pet Insurance in place when I adopted him has made the entire situation much easier to deal with. Trupanion Pet Insurance coverage has helped me afford to work with my veterinarian and I explore different medications and treatment options. As a result, Dallas has gone from having seizures every 3-6 weeks to going as long as 15 weeks without a seizure. That is an amazing improvement and a benefit for both of us.In addition to the obvious and measurable benefits of the insurance coverage is the immeasurable benefit of the exceptional staff that Trupanion employs. I have had several occasions where I have called the company with questions and every single person I have spoken with (and you speak to a real, live person when you call) is friendly and outgoing, helpful and knowledgeable. The staff members are all animal lovers who obviously enjoy their jobs and are thorough and professional in their handling of your questions. You are treated like a valued customer and their concern for you and your pet is so evident.
